Minecraft 1.14.4 Patch Brings Fixes for Villagers and Pillagers Update

Minecraft’s 1.14.4 patch is now live and it brings with it several bug fixes for the Villagers and Pillagers update. The update was supposedly the biggest ever to come to the game, but it also came with lots of problems. Aside from bug fixes, the latest patch also brings some performance improvements as well as several changes to the way villagers behave. With patch 1.14.4 out of the way, the devs will now be able to concentrate on version 1.15 which, according to Mojang, will focus on quality and performance improvements.


Fell Seal Arbiter’s Mark Launching on Switch this August

Strategy role-playing game Fell Seal Arbiter’s Mark is coming to the Nintendo Switch and 1C Entertainment and 6 Eyes Studios has released a new accolades trailer to celebrate the Switch port announcement. Fell Seal Arbiter’s Mark was very well received when it launched back in May, getting very high scores from critics. The game also holds a “Very Positive” rating on Steam at the moment with ninety-three percent of user reviews recommending the game. The game lands on the Switch on August 14th.


Dustwind will Finally Get a Single-Player Campaign on July 25th

A huge update is inbound for real-time tactical RPG Dustwind this week. The update will be adding a new playable Titan Race for multiplayer, improvements to the Single Player Storyline Map Editor, and, most importantly, a much-requested official single-player campaign. Dustwind Studios and Z-Software GmbH will be releasing the free update on Steam come July 25th. A new trailer was also released to tease what players can expect from the update.


Triternion Reveals Planned Updates for Mordhau

Triternion has revealed what they have planned on the horizon for Mordhau. Two new maps are in the works, the first of which features a sprawling town while the other is a southern-European inspired castle keep. They also promised that ranked play will be coming soon. A client-side chat filter is also in development to help with the game’s growing problem with toxicity and racism. These updates will arrive as they each become ready. Triternion also acknowledged the demand for mod support but said they cannot focus on it at the moment.


Microsoft May Soon be Rolling Out Mod Support for Games on their Storefront

It looks like mod support will soon be coming to games bought from the Microsoft Store. Eagle-eyed Reddit user Pycorax shared that he found a new folder called “ModdableWindowsApps: inside the “Program Files” folder after the latest Windows Update. Microsoft’s Dev Center has confirmed this and added that developers will be able to specify a custom folder specific to their app. There is no word on how and when this will be fully implemented at the moment, but at least we now see Microsoft starting to take steps towards mod support.

Rare is offering some good-looking customization items for your ship in Sea of Thieves if you’re willing to watch the upcoming Twitch Rivals Sea of Thieves Showdown. The event runs from July 23rd to 24th and will see popular streamers facing off in a series of PvP events for a share in the one hundred thousand US dollars prize pool. Players who watch at least 30 minutes of gameplay on July 23rd will get the Obsidian figurehead and hull, while those who do the same on the 24th will get the Obsidian sail and flag.


Watch Dogs Legions Different Edition Inclusions Revealed

Ubisoft revealed what’s included in Watch Dogs Legion’s different editions. Pre-ordering will get you a set of three in-game skins. The Gold Edition will come with both the game and the Season Pass. The Ultimate Edition comes with everything in Gold plus 3 more characters, 3 masks, and 4 weeks of VIP status. The Collector’s Edition comes with everything in Ultimate, plus some physical goodies including the Lighting Ded Coronet Mask. Everything above the Standard Edition also comes with 3 days early access.


Stadia Pro is Not “Netflix for Games,” Director Explains

Stadia director of product Andrey Doronichev conducted a Reddit AMA, and during the session, he explained that Google Stadia will not be a “Netflix for games.” This explanation comes after some people have mentioned that the service will be similar to Netflix, and that players will not be able to “take ownership” of their games in the service. “To be clear, Stadia Pro is not ‘Netflix for Games’ like some people have mentioned, a closer comparison would be like Xbox Live Gold or Playstation Plus.” Doronichev added.


Star Citizen’s Alpha 3.6 Update Released

Star Citizen’s Alpha 3.6 update is now live. This update is available to all the game’s backers, and brings a new vehicle to the game, the Anvil Ballista. Aside from these, the update also comes with new terminals where players can purchase over 90 ships using the in-game currency. Epic’s Giving Out Two Free Games

Epic Games is offering two free games instead of one this week! Starting July 25th, players can get This War of Mine and Moonlighter. The reason behind this is because one of these two games, This War of Mine, has an M rating. “This War of Mine is an M-rated title, which may be restricted by Parental Control settings for younger players,” Epic Games explained. “Whenever we choose a M-rated or PEGI-18 title as a weekly free game, we will also offer another free game that will be more accessible to players of all ages.”


Gears 5 Supports Cross-Play Between Xbox One and PC

Good news for players eagerly waiting for Gears 5! The game will be supporting cross-play between Xbox One and PC, multiplayer director Ryan Cleven confirms. Cross-play is available in Versus multiplayer, as well as the Escape, Horde, and Campaign modes. “Cross-platform play also extends across the other Gears 5 modes to provide a great over-the-top three-player experience in Escape, an epic five-player Horde session, or three-player Campaign co-op,” Cleven added. Also, players can opt-out of playing against PC players for ranked play.


Ring of Elysium Reaches 7 Million Downloads on Steam

According to SteamSpy, the free-to-play battle royale game, Ring of Elysium was able to reach more than seven million downloads on Steam. The game was first released in September 2018 as an early access title and was launched as a full game on June this year. Ring of Elysium had a recent update which included a new mode called the Ashen Eye which allows players to fight against each other inside the safe zone for the supply of oxygen that is slowly being depleted.


New Cyberpunk 2077 Mode Let’s Players Turn Off UI

CD Projekt Red has announced a new mode for their upcoming first-person title called Cyberpunk 2077 and it is called the Hardcore mode. In this mode, players will be able to remove the game’s UI information on the screen. This will be a real challenge for some players who are very comfortable with having the game’s UI seen on the screen at all time. Some players though would prefer minimal to no UI seen and just experiencing the game without it. Cyberpunk 2077 will be launching on April 16, 2020.


Anno 1800’s Expansion Sunken Treasure to Launch this Month

Blue Byte has revealed their first DLC for Anno 1800. The expansion is called Sunken Treasure and it comes with new activities. Players can purchase the DLCs individually or as part of the game’s season pass. Sunken Treasure offers a more sandbox-type of space where players are able to do some shipwreck hunting as well as crafting. Eve: Aether Wars’ 10,000 Player Dogfight is Happening Next Month

Eve Online developers CPP, as well as cloud networking techs Hadean, are inviting ten thousand players for a huge messy dogfight that is a free-for-all on August 18th at 6 PM BST for their upcoming game Eve: Aether Wars. Mojang also mentioned that this is right now, the game’s biggest update. One of the bugfix notes say that the Villagers will now remember gossip after being transformed into a Zombie Villager, they will be gossiping about the players who turned them into a zombie villager. Star Wars Fallen Jedi is Getting Photo Mode and New Game Plus

Star Wars Fallen Order director Stig Asmussen recently gave exclusive information about the game. Asmussen said that the upcoming game is getting a photo mode which is a very popular feature in this day and age. Also, a New Game Plus mode will not be available because Asmussen thinks that it will unbalance the game greatly by carrying over all your abilities. Another thing they would want is the removal of load screens throughout the game. Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order will launch on November 15.


Wanderlust From Former CD Project Red Devs to Launch in August

Different Tales, a new studio that was created by two former CD Projekt Red developers has a new game coming up called Wanderlust: Travel Stories. Artur Ganszyniec who was previously the Head Story Designer on the Witcher and Jacek Brzeziński, the former Project Lead of The Witcher and Dying Light was able to create the game Wanderlust which is set to launch on August 28 for PC and Mac. The game is about 12 or more hours to finish and players will get to explore 6 continents and 21 countries.


Tekken 7 Reaches More than 4 Million Copies Sold Worldwide

Bandai Namco has announced that their fighting game Tekken 7 was able to sell over four million copies worldwide. The game first launched on March 18, 2015, on arcades in Japan and in 2017 launched on consoles worldwide. The game has since then received a lot of content drops and balance updates. The game will be making a comeback at EVO 2019 by early August having the third-highest entry numbers. We most probably will get new announcements for the game at EVO 2019.


Hell Let Loose Adds Utah Beach Update

World War 2 shooter Hell Let Loose is getting a new update which is called the Utah Beach update. This adds a map that has a slight overcast and pre-dawn fog that still can be seen in the fields just above the beach. There are German barricades and other obstacles along the beach as well. Along with this update are two light tanks which are the American Stuart for The Allies and the Axis will be getting the “Luchs” which is a Panzerkampfwagen II variant. Resource nodes have also been added to the game.


This Land Is My Land Comes to Steam Early Access This Fall

The western open-world PC game called This Land is My Land from Game-Labs is coming to Steam Early Access. The game is a survival game that will let players experience being a chief of a Native American tribe who is out to get back their lands from the new settlers. Players will be fighting against hostile humans as well as animals. Players must hunt, craft, survive and lead the tribes. The Early Access stage will be available from six to twelve months.


Interstellar Space: Genesis Announces Launch Date
