Slime Rancher Free on the Epic Games Store

Here’s Epic Games Store’s free game for you! The first-person sandbox sim Slime Rancher is the newest free game on the Epic Games Store, and it’s yours to keep forever if you claim it until March 21st. As its title suggests, the game will let you run a slime ranching business. You will be tasked to do challenges and will be offered opportunities in the game in order for you to “amass a great fortune.” Gameplay includes collecting colorful slimes, growing crops, harvesting resources, and exploring the wilds.


Warframe’s Operation Buried Debts is Now Live

Digital Extremes has released Warframe’s first ever community event for the year – Operation: Buried Debts. The event is available now for players on PC. The event lets players work as a community as they investigate strange fractures that are appearing on Venus’ surface. It is a multi-part Operation that will unfold as the weeks go by. Players who participate in the event will earn unique items including an Emblem and Sigil, Amalgam Mods, and the Opticor Vandal. A final reward will be earned for defeating ” a tremendous foe.”


PUBG is Remastering Its Maps, Erangel Goes First

PUBG Corp. is remastering PUBG’s maps, and they are starting with Erangel. In a blog post, PUBG Corp said that work on Erangel will include the addition of compounds which the team is now testing internally. PUBG Corp also plans to test “several potential changes to Erangel soon.” Details of these changes have not been revealed yet. Aside from improving the maps’ visuals, the team will also be working on rebalancing loot placements and drop rates in the game.


Activision and GOG Bring the Original Diablo to PC

Activision Blizzard has partnered with GOG as they bring back the original Diablo for modern PCs. Through GOG, Diablo will be available digitally, and DRM-free, for the first time ever. This port of the original Diablo game features its original 20 FPS, SVGA version plus full Battle.Net support as well as an updated Windows 10 compatibility. Diablo is first on the list of classic games Activision Blizzard will be bringing to the service. Diablo is now available on GOG.com with a $9.99 price tag.


Stardock Announces Siege of Centauri

Stardock, the developers behind the game Ashes of the Singularity, has announced their newest tower defense game, Siege of Centauri. Set in the same universe as Ashes of Singularity, Siege of Centauri will let you play as a commander of Earth’s first space colony. Your objective is to save your territory from thousands of aggressive alien machines. The game will soon release in Steam Early Access.


Left Alive Has a Free World of Tanks DLC

Square Enix teamed up with Wargaming and came up with a strange DLC for Left Alive. The DLC is free, but what it does is it adds World of Tanks ads to the game. By activating the DLC, players will see World of Tanks ads everywhere in the game, like the game’s logo on backpacks, its advertisements on billboards, and in-game codex entries about tanks. This is nothing but a strange feat for the game, considering how players find the game underwhelming.


EA is Working on a Fix for Anthem’s PS4 Crash Issue

Following reports of Anthem crashing PlayStation 4 consoles, BioWare has finally found what’s causing it. In a tweet, BioWare’s Chad Robertson said they have identified “several causes for the temp power-down crash some PS4 users experienced.” He also said that a fix will be issued through a patch this week. He also added that should the game crash, he advised players to “manually power down and restart it – no risk of damage.”


Battlefield 5 Adds a Limited Time Rush Mode

Battlefield 5’s Lighting Strike update’s final event is live! The event is called Unstoppable Force, and it is live on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. This event brings back the fan-favorite Rush Mode which is available for a limited time, and is playable on three maps. Rush Mode will only be available until March 20th. Unstoppable Force also brings with it two Weekly Challenges where players can unlock the Mosquito FB Mk VI and Ju-88C planes if they complete the challenges.


EA Play 2019 Dates Announced

Electronic Arts won’t be at this year’s E3, however, like what they did last year, they will be staging EA play 2019. EA Play will be taking place from June 7th until the 9th, with a kick-off event happening on the 7th. Tickets will be available starting next month, and is free for those who register. This year’s EA Play will be different as EA said they will be skipping the press conference but will be replaced “with multiple live streams that will air during the first two days of the event.”


Stealth Adventure Game Evotinction Announced

Sony Interactive has announced a new game that will be coming exclusively to the PlayStation 4. The game is Evotinction, a third-person stealth adventure game set in the future. It is currently being worked on by its developer, Spikewave Games. In the game, players will be serving as a guide for a hero who loves to hack everything in his automated world. The world he’s in is dangerous, but his ability to hack, disrupt, and control will be his weapons.


Ghosts of Tsushima Release Date Leaked

A store listing might have leaked the release date for Sucker Punch’s open world samurai game Ghosts of Tsushima. The site in question is a Swedish site named Spelbutiken, and the listing shows that the game will be launching on August 30, 2019. The date could possibly be a placeholder, but if it is so, the date should have been August 31st, as most placeholders are usually the last days of the month, or the first day. We’ll be waiting for confirmation from Sucker Punch to see if this is true or not.


Apex Legends Ends Fortnite’s Twitch Streak

It would have been one year straight for Fortnite as the most watched game on Twitch but then came Apex Legends. Apex Legends broke Fortnite’s eleven-month streak when it launched. For the month of February, Apex Legends had over 670,000 people watch as compared to Fortnite which ended up in second place with 615,000 people. We could see a tight competition between the two games this month as the start of Fortnite Season 8 is here and Apex Legends is getting its battle pass!


Aqua Moto Racing Utopia Gets an Expansion This Spring

Zordix has announced their major expansion for their game Aqua Moto Racing Utopia. This expansion will be coming in Spring and it will be available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The new things brought about by this expansion include World Rankings, customizing your racer and some Weekly Challenges. In the Weekly Challenges, if you win, you will get a real medal that will be mailed directly to you to add to your bragging rights. Also, if players do exceptionally well, real-world rewards are given.


Co-op Level-Building Platformer Levelhead to Launch in Early Access This April

Butterscotch Shenanigans, the creator of Crashlands has a new game coming out and it is called Levelhead. It is a “co-op level-building platformer”. The game has a campaign mode that will have players take on jobs in the Bureau of Shipping where they will be delivering packages across strange two-dimensional environments. There will be power-ups that can help you with special abilities for fighting enemies or going through walls. Levelhead will be available in Steam Early Access on April.


Cricket 19 to Release This Summer

Big Ant and Codemasters announced the coming of Cricket 19- The Offical Game of the Ashes. The game will come with the fundamentals of the previous game but with added extras. There will be specific bowling plans in order to attack for both individual or team weaknesses. A much more intelligent AI is introduced that will understand the different context of matches. Cricket 19- The Offical Game of the Ashes will release in May for PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. It will have a PC release in the summer.


Cyberpunk 2077’s Development is “Far From Over”

It has been a long time coming for Cyberpunk 2077 and it looks like a longer time of waiting is needed. In a new video presented by CD Projekt Red, it said that “Cyberpunk 2077 may no longer by the mystery it once was, but work on it is far from over.” The video actually doesn’t give much more detail about the game and it looks like the previous hints that we received about it launching in 2019 could just be hints and nothing more. We will know much more as the developers release more information about it.

Oxenfree is Free on the Epic Games Store Next Month

Night School Studios’ adventure video game that has been inspired by classic cult films called Oxenfree will be available on the Epic Games Store for free next month. The game plays out in one night where a group of high school students on a school trip gets left behind on a decommissioned military island and spends the night there. Everything goes very wrong as your group accidentally opens a rift of the island’s mysterious past. You will get to play as Alex with her stepbrother Jonas.


Rage 2’s Combo System Featured in Latest Trailer

Id Software and Bethesda has released a new trailer for their upcoming post-apocalyptic, open-world shooter, Rage 2. The trailer is called “Wasteland Hero” and shows off some of the weapons and gadgets players will have at their disposal. The devs even claim players will have “more toys that the Caped Crusader” in-game. It also shows off some of the flashy combos players can pull off by combining abilities and weapons to eviscerate enemies in style. Rage 2 launches on May 14th.


Total War: Three Kingdoms Showcases Villain Dong Zhuo in New Video

Creative Assembly has released a new trailer and let’s play video for Total War Three Kingdoms that focuses on the villain Dong Zhuo. As expected, he plays best as a tyrant and collects a unique currency called Intimidation. Players gain these by murdering and pillaging and can use them to force deals to fall through in his favor. He also has the ability to execute anyone in his faction to quell possible uprisings, and can raze cities to the ground. Three Kingdoms launches on May 23rd.


Warhammer: Chaosbane’s Closed Beta Kicks Off

The first private beta for Warhammer Chaosbane is underway and can be downloaded on Steam, Xbox One and PS4. The beta is exclusive to those who pre-ordered and will run until March 13th, 9AM GMT. Players will have access to 2 playable classes with a level cap of 20, and the game’s first act. You’ll also be able to team up with friends as the beta will support both local and online co-op with up to 4 players. Warhammer Chaosbane releases on June 4th.


World of Warships: Legends is Coming to Steam Early Access

Wargaming has announced that the final round of beta testing for World of Warships Legends on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will be happening from March 22nd to 24th. Those wanting to get in will want to register at the game’s official site for a chance to participate. Registering will also reward players with in-game goodies at launch. The latest version will add the British nation, 14 new ships, and revamped lighting effects. The game enters early access on April 16th.
