The Division 2 Won’t be Coming to Steam, System Requirements Revealed

Ubisoft has revealed quite a lot recently about their upcoming third-person shooter and role-playing game hybrid, The Division 2. Apparently, the sequel will be skipping Steam entirely. They’ve also revealed what features they’ve been cooking for the PC community, as well as the system requirements for those planning to play on PC.



A new features overview trailer has the dev team discussing what it’ll mean to get the game on PC. They’re promising uncapped frame rates and resolutions, saying that “If your rig can handle it, you can play it.” Support for HDR, variable refresh rate monitors and ultrawide resolutions will be available at launch too.

Ubisoft also revealed that they’ve partnered up with Epic Games for the PC release, which means that the game won’t be arriving on Steam and will only be available through either the Epic Games Store or directly from Ubisoft. Apparently, this deal will extend to quite a few of their upcoming releases as well.

The Division 2 is set to launch on March 15th for PC, Xbox One and PS4. A private beta will be held some time before launch, however you’ll only get guaranteed access to it by pre-ordering the game. Otherwise, you’ll need to take your chances by signing up here.
