Battlefield 5 Physical Sales Down as Compared with Battlefield 1
It looks like Battlefield 5 is not doing great in its physical sales. The game launched on November 20th and was on sale for 5 days during the launch week. However, it sold fewer copies as compared to the launch sale of Battlefield 1 which was only a 3-day sale. To further compare, the physical sales of Battlefield 5 is lower than the lesser popular Battlefield Hardline. The game did suffer from delays and an unstable beta. It even got a review calling it the “glitchiest, most technically troubled” game of the series.
Alien: Blackout May Be Revealed During The Game Awards
News on Alien: Blackout’s reveal during this year’s The Game Awards have started to circulate all over. This comes after fans saw an exchange between Hideo Kojima and the official The Game Awards Twitter handle on Twitter. Kojima posted photos of him visiting 20th Century Fox and posing with an alien egg. This was followed by a reply by The Game Awards saying, “World will change!” Early this month TGA producer Geoff Keighley posted an image on Twitter that shows repeating text that says “worlds will change.”
Roller Beetle Racing Now Live in Guild Wars 2
Guild Wars 2 is currently having its Roller Beetle Racing where players ride their roller beetle mounts and race it off to the finish line. Roller Beetle Racing features five unique racetracks located across Tyria. The event gives them the chance to challenge other players for bragging rights. ArenaNet is also hosting a sweepstakes for those who will be participating in Roller Beetle Racing, with a custom-wrapped roller beetle “Type RBR” car up for grabs.
Destiny 2 Season 5 Comes With New “Pinnacle” Weapons
New ‘Pinnacle’ weapons are coming to Destiny 2 through Season of the Forge. These weapons are earned by doing specific activities from elaborate quests. One of the pinnacle weapons is the Loaded Question which is a high-impact fusion rifle. Another one is the Breakneck which is a precision auto rifle which has a unique perk called Onslaught. And the last one is The Mountaintop which is a kinetic grenade launcher. All of these weapons can be earned on any character unlike the previous.
War Thunder: Italian Ground Forces Coming in December
War Thunder is getting a new national research tree in its Content Update 1.85 slated to roll out this December. The Italian Ground Forces include Italian vehicles and tanks that are historically accurate down to the last detail. Also included are other early World War II ground equipment such as self-propelled guns and anti-aircraft vehicles. Players who own the game’s Italian vehicle pack and are able to complete certain tasks will get to test these when the update rolls out.
Serial Cleaner Gets Free PC Update
The story-driven, fast-paced stealth game Serial Cleaners is getting a free update on PC. The update, which arrives November 29th, revamps the game’s Normal mode and features a lower detection rate, slower run speed for the police, and lesser noise pulse on movement. Hardcore Mode still features the more challenging content. Curve Digital said they will release this update after listening to feedback from its fans.
Battlefield 5 Update Brings Bug Fixes and Stability Improvements
A new update has been released in Battlefield 5, while another major one is heading its way next week. The update released November 26th contains fixes to some issues like weapons staying locked though rank requirement has been achieved, and players getting disconnected when joining a server. Those that have previously completed daily assignments can also now complete them again if they decide to take it on another day. The update also includes improvements on team balance on start of rounds, and several server stability improvements as well.
Ghost of a Tale to Release in February Simultaneously for Consoles
SeithCG’s role-playing game called Ghost of a Tale came out of Early Access in March after 5 years in development for the PC. Just recently it was revealed that the game will be releasing on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Since the holidays will be a busy season for launching the game, the creators decided to launch the game on February 2019 instead. However, that month still looks busy since a lot of triple A games will be launching as well. When asked about a Nintendo Switch release, they said: “not yet”.
Street Fighter 5 Introduces M. Bison’s Classic Costume
We will get to see M. Bison donning his classic Street Fighter 2 costume in Street Fighter 5 all thanks to the Fighting Chance bonus system. It will still look similar but instead of the long coat and lightning belt buckle, he will have a gold belt, a shorter coat, and a blue trim on his red suit. The costume is available through the loot box system, or the Fantasy Fortune Reading for 500 Fight Money that gives randomized items like costumes or colors. Other ‘classic’ costumes will be available soon.
Battle Brothers Beasts and Exploration DLC to Release Soon
Overhype Studios will be launching the first major expansion for Battle Brothers, Beasts and Exploration, on November 29th. The DLC includes new content, additional gameplay features, as well as a larger world map. Other new features included in the expansion are Legendary locations, new opponents, crafting, customizeable gear, new weapons and armor, new contracts and events, and new achievements. Battle Brothers is a turn-based RPG and is currently available on Steam.
Rainbow Six Siege Wind Bastion Operators Get Nerfed Prior to Release
Operation Wind Bastion has not even launched yet, and its two upcoming operators, Kaid and Nomad, are already getting nerfed. For Nomad, his proximity air blast grenades will now have a slight delay which allows players to adjust once they’ve been set off. As for Kaid, he will now carry two Electroclaws instead of three, which now reduces the number of surfaces he can electrify. The full patch notes can be found in the Rainbow Six Siege subreddit.

Bethesda Starts Patching Fallout 76’s Numerous Bugs
Bethesda Game Studios applied a new patch on November 19th which sought to improve Fallout 76’s overall performance and stability across all platforms. The patch notes featured many bug fixes regarding the art & graphics, enemies, PVP, quests, user interface, and more. The Xbox One version of the game received specialized patches which resolved issues where certain menus caused in-game instability.
Rainbow Six Siege Wind Bastion Now on the PTR
Ubisoft revealed the Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege’s Operation Wind Bastion update back in November 18th at the Rainbow Six Siege Pro League Finals. Now, Wind Bastion is already available on the game’s test server on PC. This update marks the beginning of Siege’s Year 3, Season 4 and concludes 2018. What fans regard as the most note-worthy additions of the lot, are two new Operators and a new multiplayer map. The update also includes balance changes, bug fixes, and more.
Fortnite Hits 200 Million Registered Users Worldwide
Fortnite persists to be epic as it hits another massive milestone of having 200 million registered players worldwide. Another impressive point to note is that as of June 2018, the figure was at 125 million, which means in less than 5 months the game has experienced an astounding 60% growth in registered players. Epic sure has perfect timing, as it drops update 6.31 come November 28th. The update includes a limited time gifting feature.
Over 10 Games to Be Announced at The Game Awards
More than 10 new games are going to be revealed at this year’s The Game Awards, producer Geoff Keighley confirms on Twitter. He added that there will also be announcements on updates for existing titles, and that they will be sharing some teasers “in the days to come.” The Game Awards will air December 6th and will be broadcast from Los Angeles. The event will be streaming live via YouTube, Steam, Twitch, and Mixer. One of the games rumored to be announced during the event is possibly the next Alien game, Alien: Blackout.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Battle Royale Launches on Red Dead Online
Rockstar Games launched Red Dead Redemption 2’s battle royal mode as part of Red Dead Online. Red Dead Redemption 2 came equipped with two versions of the Battle Royale genre labeled “make it count”. In one version, players spawn armed with a bow and fistful of arrows, and are required to loot extra arrows from the players they have killed. The second version is the same except throwing knives are substituted as weapon choice. Red Dead Online is still in beta and only selected players can access it for now.
Sea of Thieves’ Shrouded Spoils Update Launches November 28th
Sea of Thieves’ Shrouded Spoils update rolls out November 28th. This update is the latest free content that will be coming to the game, and it introduces six more Skeleton Fort locations as well as Bone Dust crates which are available as loot. The Kraken and Megalodon battles will also be refreshed, plus a Mega Keg will also be added among other features. The full patch notes will be available as soon as the update is ready to get launched.
Red Dead Online Will Include an In-Game Store to Buy Gold
Red Dead Redemption 2’s online multiplayer called Red Dead Online has started its beta for selected players and with it, gave us an idea on how the Red Dead Online Store will work. For right now though, most of the menus are not accessible, but it does show us that the option for purchasing gold bars is available to get cosmetic items like a special style for your weapons or the Camp decor. The gold bars can also change your honor status for just three gold bars. We can expect to know more about this soon.
First Assassin’s Creed Odyssey DLC Episode Launches Next Week
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is getting its first DLC called Legacy of the First Blade. This starts next week and is the first of two expansion storylines. The first episode is called Hidden and it will be arriving on December 4th, kicking off the story of Darius. The second episode is Shadow, and the third is Bloodline which will both be arriving by early 2019. The second storyline, on the other hand, will start by Spring 2019 and it is called The Fate of Atlantis. Having the Season Pass grants you access to both.
New Jump Force Trailer Shows Himura Kenshin and Makoto Shishio in Action
Just Cause 4 has a new trailer and it features two of its new characters Himura Kenshin and Makoto Shishio. We finally get to see both of them in action! The trailer shows Kenshin wielding his reverse-blade sword. Shishio also has his own strengths too as the trailer shows his powerful and fiery finishing move also armed with a sword. Just Cause 4 is set to be released February 15th.
New Just Cause 4 Live Action Trailer Lets Enemies Describe Rico
A new live action trailer for Just Cause 4 has Rico’s enemies describe him to their angry boss. The trailer shows wounded Black Hand soldiers as they attempt to explain to their boss, and the game’s main villain, Gabriela Morales how they got their injuries. One of the soldiers described Rico riding a tornado, infiltrating their base like a panther, and even using his environment to take enemies out. All these done by just one man. Just Cause 4 launches December 4th for PC and consoles.
Battletech’s Flashpoint Expansion and New Mode Out Now
BattleTech’s first expansion, Flashpoint, is available now! This expansion adds new gameplay, and more than 30 hours of content, among other additions. The expansion features Flashpoints which are short stories that link together mercenary missions, special events, crew conversations, critical choices, and rare bonus rewards. The expansion also comes with three new Mechs, new mission type, and new biomes. This also adds the new Career Mode as a free update.
