Infinity Ward Releases Modern Warfare Roadmap

Infinity Ward has released its roadmap for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. In its latest community update, the developer detailed the list of upcoming changes to the game. This includes the 3-versus-3 Gunfight mode, the return of the Gunfight Tournament mode, and more loadouts. Infinity Ward also promises to bring more double XP events. Also included in the roadmap are several fixes. They also committed certain days of the week to release updates: Tuesdays for playlists, Thursdays for dev diaries, and behind-the-scenes blog, and Fridays for Community Updates.


Konami Reveals New Monster Battler Solomon Program

Konami has revealed via CoroCoro Online its own take on the monster battler genre, and it is coming to the Nintendo Switch. The game has a tentative title of Solomon Program, and is still currently in development. Details are scarce at this time, but CoroCoro has included screen captures of some of the characters that will be appearing in the special manga for the game. It features the protagonist Beta, and a monster called Gishiki.


Survival Game Darwin Project Now Available on Steam

Survival-battle royale game Darwin Project is now available on Steam. It is also available for players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In Darwin Project, players will play as one of the ten inmates who are inside an arena as they fight for survival. It’s like the Hunger Games in video game form as a Show Director is also involved, controlling the arena with bombs, gravity storms, zone closures, and more. Everything happening inside the arena is done for Spectators which can also impact the match.


TV broadcast Simulator Not For Broadcast Launching Later This Month

TV broadcasting simulator Not For Broadcast is heading to Steam in Early Access later this month. The game is set in an alternate 1980s and players will be playing the role of someone who just came to work to clean the TV studio, but was suddenly tasked to determine what goes on air and what does not. The game lets players tinker with switching frames, censoring swear words and unapproved political comments, picking the headlines, cueing the ads, and a lot more. Its Early Access run will start on January 30th.


Ubisoft Launching It’s Auto Chess Battle Royale This Month

Ubisoft is launching an auto chess-slash-battle royale game later this month. The game is Might & Magic: Chess Royale, and as the title suggests, it is Might & Magic’s take on the auto-chess genre. In Chess Royale, instead of strategy battles, players will be using units from other Might & Magic games as chess board pieces. On the battle royale side, Ubisoft said that matches in Chess Royale will be shorter at around 10 minutes only. It will be available both on desktop and mobile.


Rainbow Six Siege Year 5 Pass Leak Shoes Only 6 Operators

A leak posted on Reddit shows that Rainbow Six Siege Year 5’s Pass will only include a total of six Operators instead of the usual eight. This led some fans to believe that Ubisoft might be reworking two Operators. The leak also suggests that the Year Five Pass will give a one-year “VIP premium membership” that includes the six Operators for Year Five, exclusive customization items, 10% discount on the Shop, a 5% Renown boost, “0,3%” Alpha Pack Boost, 30% off the Battle Pass, and 30% Battle Points bonus.


Playstation to Skip E3 Again This Year

PlayStation will once again skip E3 this year, a Sony spokesperson confirmed with Gamesindustry.biz. “We have great respect for the ESA as an organization, but we do not feel the vision of E3 2020 is the right venue for what we are focused on this year,” the spokesperson said. He further added that Sony will be building upon their global events strategy in 2020 by participating in hundreds of consumer events across the globe. Apart from E3, Sony is expected to hold its own reveal event for PlayStation 5.


Malik Forte Won’t Return to Host the 2020 Overwatch League Season

Reaper enthusiast, and former Overwatch League host Malik Forte won’t be back in this year’s Overwatch League season. In a statement on Twitter, Forte said, “I’m not returning to the OWL broadcast team for 2020, for those who’ve asked… It’s been a long journey with the OW community so it saddens me to say. A HUGE thanks to all the fans, the amazing production crew, my talent team family and most importantly, the players!” Late last year, another of the League’s main host, Chris Puckett, also said he won’t be back this year.


Latest Standings in R6 Pro League ‘s Matchday Two

The European Rainbow Six Pro League Season 11 is underway, and we’ve got the latest results on Playday 3 Matches that took place January 13th. The first match took place between BDS Esport and Team Vitality where BDS dominated with a score of 7-2. The next match took place between Rogue and Empire and resulted in a draw. The much-awaited match between G2 and forZe took place nest, with G2 dominating 7 to 4. The final match of the day took place between NaVi and Chaos with NaVi winning the match 7 to 5. The next matchday takes place January 15th.


Modern Warfare Will Have Double XPs This Weekend

As part of Infinity Ward’s roadmap for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the developer is kicking off Double XPs this weekend. This begins January 17th at 12PM Central Time and will end January 21st 12PM Central Time. Players who play during the said period will earn Double XP and Double Weapon XP. Also coming this week are the return of Cranked and Drop Zone, and the popular Gunfight 3v3 mode.


Guilty Gear Strive Closed Beta Scheduled for Spring 2020

Arc System Works has announced that its anime fighting game Guilty Gear Strive will be having a closed beta, and it is scheduled for May of this year. According to sources, the closed beta will most likely be used to test the game’s netcode. Guilty Gear Strive had its playable debut at ARCREVO in October 2019, and the same demo is scheduled to also appear at EVO Japan 2020 in Frosty Faustings in Chicago from January 24th until 26th.


WWE 2K20 New DLC Pack Out Now

WWE 2K20 has a new DLC pack that is post-apocalyptic in theme. This is part of the “WWE 2K20 Originals” series and it will be adding a new Showcase, four new Story Towers, new characters, two arenas, weapons, and commentary. The new characters arriving with the DLC are Seth the Wanderer, Overlord Samoa Joe, Corbin the Gatekeeper, Ali Fortune Fighter, Grand Champion Batista, Advocate Jack Gallagher, Warrior Ruby Riott and Raider Velveteen Dream. The DLC is available now for $15 dollars.


Eclipse: Edge of Light Now Available

Eclipse: Edge of Light is now available on the PlayStation 4 as well as the PS VR. The game was originally showcased as a PS VR Demo at the PlayStation Experience 2015. This is a first-person exploration game that is set on a sentient planet that has a dark past. Players will be crash-landing on the planet and find themselves in the dreamscape environment. There are some remnants of a civilization that didn’t seem to prosper. Eclipse: Edge of Light offers a world of discovery and wonder.


Final Fantasy 7 Remake Delayed

Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be delayed. The original launch date had been March 3rd and it has now been moved to April 10th worldwide for the PlayStation 4. The game’s producer Yoshinori Kitase apologized for the delay and said that they wanted to ensure that they are able to deliver a game that is in-line with their vision and also has the quality that their fans deserve. Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be launching for the PS4 first and will arrive on other platforms later.


Super Smash Bros. Ultimate New DLC Character to be Revealed

A new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct will be happening on January 16th, 6 AM PT. The direct is said to be 35 minutes long and it will be revealing the final DLC character of the first Fighter Pass of the game. The reveal is quite long as Nintendo will be giving an in-depth look at the upcoming DLC fighter. The previous characters made available were Joker, Dragon Quest’s Hero, Banjo and Kazooie, and Terry Bogard.


Genshin Impact to Launch on the Nintendo Switch

MiHoYo’s action, RPG game Genshin Impact will be launching on the Nintendo Switch. The game had also been confirmed to be launching on the PC, PlayStation 4, and mobile which will also be arriving sometime this year. Genshin Impact had been first revealed in June 2019. Players are able to switch between different characters, each having unique abilities as well as different storied that are intertwined. The game actually started as a manga which is still ongoing until today.


Marvel’s Avengers Launch Date Pushed Back to September 4th

Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics announced that their upcoming game, Marvel’s Avengers will not be launching on the previously announced release date and will instead be delayed to a later date. Crystal Dynamics stated that they wanted to deliver the “ultimate Avengers gaming experience” hence the delay. Once launched, players will enjoy Hero Missions and Warzone Missions. Players will also get to customize their heroes. Marvel’s Avengers is now set to launch on September 4, 2020.


Rainbow Six Siege New Patch Released

The Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege patch Y4S4.2 has been released by Ubisoft. The patch fixes the Clash exploit as well as the Operator hitboxes that sometimes can be shot through reinforced walls. Also, the thin fragile map props have been fixed. There are also some minor cosmetic modeling and shop fixes available. The issues in the menu and HUD visuals had been fixed as well. Team Griffin Signs Son “Ucal” Woo-hyeon

18-year old, Son “Ucal” Woo-hyeon was able to find a new home for the new year. The talented mid laner has signed with Team Griffin and will be playing with them for the upcoming Spring Split 2020. Ucal may be one of the lesser-known mid laners in Korea, but he is actually one of the best young mid laners out there. Team Griffin also had an offseason because of some contract troubles, but all of that had been fixed now. The LCK will start on February 5th.


CS:GO Launches New Patch for Studio Map

The latest Counter-Strike: Global Offensive map which is called Studio has received a new patch from Valve. Studio first launched back in November and it isn’t the most popular map of the lot. However, it is steadily improving. As compared to the most popular maps like Dust 2 or Inferno, this has a long way to go, but it isn’t the worst map there is. Gigantosaurus: The Game to Launch on March 27th

A new dinosaur adventure is coming our way with Gigantosaurus: The Game. Brought to us by Cyber Group Studios and Outright Games, Gigantosaurus is based on the hit Disney kids show of the same name. Play as Gianto and escape extinction with your dino friends. Race on a super rally on your race karts to your next adventure zone. Get to play with up to three friends and create your co-operative adventures together. Gigantosaurus: The Game will launch on March 27th for the PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch.


Musashi vs Cthulhu Early Access Release Announced

Cyber Rhino Studios, a Brazilian developer announced their fast-paced action game for PC called Musashi vs Cthulhu. The game has launched in early access on Steam and is available for $3.99 dollars or £2.99 pounds. Since it is in early access, the studio is encouraging community feedback, which they can use to further shape the game to what the fans want. There are three modes available for the game Endless, SkillTree and Story. There will also be leaderboards available in the game.
