Here’s What Time Borderlands 3 Launches Where You Live
In a little over a week, Gearbox Software and 2K will be releasing Borderlands 3 to the world. There’s definitely a lot of hype over the next entry in the hit looter shooter series, so Gearbox has released the launch schedule so fans can start playing as soon as the game goes live.
Gearbox is calling the game’s console launch as a “rolling midnight release”. This just basically means that the game will launch for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 13th at midnight in your local time. The only exception here is the Pacific coast of the US where fans will be able to jump into the game three hours before midnight.
Here’s the console launch schedule:
- SAN FRANCISCO: September 12, 2019 – 21:00 PDT
- NEW YORK: September 13, 2019 – 00:00 EDT
- SAO PAULO: September 13, 2019 – 00:00 BRT
- LONDON: September 13, 2019 – 00:00 BST
- ROME: September 13, 2019 – 00:00 CEST
- CAPE TOWN: September 13, 2019 – 00:00 SAST
- MOSCOW: September 13, 2019 – 00:00 MSK
- SINGAPORE: September 13, 2019 – 00:00 SGT
- TOKYO: September 13, 2019 – 00:00 JST
- SYDNEY: September 13, 2019 – 00:00 AEST
- WELLINGTON: September 13, 2019 – 00:00 NZST
As for those who will be playing on PC, the Epic Games Store client will grant access to the game once the clock strikes midnight in London, whatever time that translates to in your local time. Here’s the launch schedule for PC for your convenience:
- SAN FRANCISCO: September 12, 2019 – 16:00 PDT
- NEW YORK: September 12, 2019 – 19:00 EDT
- SAO PAULO: September 12, 2019 – 20:00 BRT
- LONDON: September 13, 2019 – 00:00 BST

- CAPE TOWN: September 13, 2019 – 01:00 SAST
- MOSCOW: September 13, 2019 – 02:00 MSK

The game will take up 75 GB of hard drive space on PC, so it’ll surely be a hefty download. The good news is that Gearbox has announced that regardless of which platform you’ll be playing on, you’ll be able to pre-load the game as early as “roughly 48 hours ahead of the launch date and time listed for your region.”
