Ferret Scoundrel To Launch On Steam Early Access

A new game from developer Cryogenic Entertainment called Ferret Scoundrels will be launching on Steam Early Access on May 9th. The game is all about cute little ferrets who will sail the seas as pirates and plunder whoever they see roaming the same oceans. A demo of the game that was released back in April will be running up until the game’s launch on Early Access. The developers are working on the bug fixes and additional new features that are based on the community’s feedback.


Possible Minecraft AR Game Coming Soon

A possible new Minecraft game is in the works which could probably be some kind of a Minecraft AR game. A teaser video came from Microsoft’s twitter post and it features a kind of game that mixes real world and virtual world elements. Games like Pokemon Go or Harry Potter: Wizards Unite comes to mind. We will know more about this on May 17 as more information will be made available through the official Minecraft website.


San Francisco Shock Finishes A Perfect Stage In Overwatch League

A record had been made by the rejuvenated San Francisco Shock in the Overwatch League. They may have started with quite a messy first season but just as the team finishes off stage two, a first has been made as they were able to complete a perfect stage. San Francisco Shock was able to make it through multiple stages without losing a match. That is a total of 28 consecutive maps. In addition to that, the team was also able to create a new time-record for completing the Overwatch Paris map.


God of War Game Director Has New Horror Game In The Works

The director of the very first God of War game, David Jaffe announced that he is working on a new single-player horror game. He said that he is designing as well as writing this new game and also added that he is attempting to do something new with the in-game storytelling. For right now, he hasn’t shown anybody the game that he is working on, so he has no funding for it whatsoever. Also, for know, that is all we know about his project, hopefully, we know more about it soon.


Riot Games’ Employees State A Walkout

Riot Games, the company responsible for publishing League of Legends had employees protest against forced arbitration. Around one hundred to one hundred fifty employees had staged a walkout for their protest. They were joined by local supporters and were also backed by the hashtag #RiotWalkout on Twitter. This is to raise the issue of the company’s culture with handling sexual harassment cases within the office. The company assured that there won’t be any retaliation to the protesters.


Destiny 2’s Gambit Finally Gets A Double Infamy Event

Destiny 2 is having a double Infamy event for Gambit! This is already available now and will be running up until May 14 only. This event will make it much more easier for players to earn ranks as well as loot. Gambit had actually been added to the game eight months ago and the Gambit-focused season, Destiny 2: Joker’s Wild had been available for about 8 weeks ago. so having a double Infamy event for Gambit is something that fans had been waiting for for a long time.


Shakedown: Hawaii Available Now

The indie studio that gave us Retro City Rampage, Vblank Entertainment is back and with another open world adventure game called Shakedown: Hawaii. You will be on a mission to take back Hawaii from different competitors by extortion and scams, you can also shake down some shops in order to get protection money and sabotage competition. You can now purchase Shakedown: Miami for PC via the Epic Gamestore. The game is also available for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Vita.


Platinum Games Studio Announces A New Project “Never Done Before”

Platinum Games Studio head Atsushi Inaba has announced that they are in the early development of a new project that will offer something that has never been done before. He even added that usually that is what is being said by developers but he assures us that this new project of theirs is “unlike anything else”. Even though the studio has a lot of veteran developers, the design has not been done before and they are very excited about it.


NetherRealm Studios To Investigate Employee Complaints

NetherRealm Studios, the developer of Mortal Kombat is investigating some complaints by former employees and contractors. The complaints were about the working conditions at the studio. This all started when a software engineer at the studio posted a Tweet, that working on Mortal Kombat 9 almost killed him. Others joined in and the complaints were mixed some were about harassment, sexism, and failure of management to address the concern of the employees.


Heaven’s Vault Rejected By GOG, But Could Be Changing Their Minds

Heaven’s Vault an archeological adventure game had been rejected by GOG and they are probably changing their mind about the game. Heaven’s Vault is available on Steam which is actually doing good there. A representative from GOG said that based on the general reception of the game by the community, they might give it another look and possibly change their minds. They even explained that it is not new to them to reject a game and then change their decision if “it makes sense”.


God Of War Documentary To Debut This Week

A full-length feature documentary for God of War will be making its debut this week! The documentary is called God of War: Raising Kratos, it will be available via PlayStation’s YouTube channel. This will be on May 10 at 12:01 AM Pacific Time or 3:01 AM Eastern Time or 8:01 AM British Summer Time. An announcement trailer has been released for this as well. Raising Kratos documents the five-year effort of the developers to create the game. Their efforts are all worth it as the game won lots of awards.


Capcom Announces Monster Hunter World Is Their Best Selling Game Ever

Capcom has made the announcement that their best selling title of all time is the game Monster Hunter World. This announcement was made during the company’s financial year report for 2018 to 2019. The game was able to ship over 12 million units for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Other notable games are Resident Evil 2 which shipped over 4 million units and Devil May Cry 5 shipping 2 million units. It should be noted that the term “shipped” only meant that the units were delivered to retailers only.


Mordhau Sales Reach Half A Million In Just A Short Time

Triternion’s Mordhau managed to sell half a million copies on Steam, and the developers did not actually anticipate this. The game was also able to break its own record by getting sixty thousand concurrent players at its peak. The development team was surprised at how big the project became and are now very busy trying to keep up with the demand by increasing server capacity as well as fixing some bugs in the game. The upcoming patch should have all of the needed fixes.


Anthem New Patch To Remove Elysian Caches

Anthem’s 1.1.1. patch will be removing the Elysian Caches that was previously added in March. These caches were originally intended to reward players who are able to complete different Strongholds as well as finish the game’s daily challenges. Bioware did not give any explanation as to why they are removing the caches but they did say that the plan for them was just temporary and they might probably return it at a later time. Dota 2 International Battle Pass Now Available

The Dota 2 International Battle Pass is now available for purchase today. This will give players access to exclusive content, features, and rewards. The most basic is the Standard Battle Pass which will be available for $10 dollars. There are also higher level Battle Passes that will come with more rewards and will be a little more expensive. This year’s pass will have the Wrath of the Mo’rokai custom game mode, a Jungle Expedition, and the unlockable “Guardians of the Lost Path” custom towers.


Life Is Strange 2 Episode 3 Release Date Revealed

Life is Strange 2 Episode 3 will be launching on May 9th available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The third episode is called Wastelands and we will see brothers’ Sean and Daniel Diaz on the run and looking for a place to belong to in the Californian woodlands. The siblings has had it rough already with Sean trying very hard to keep them both safe and Daniel trying to cope with his new found powers. Hopefully, the brothers and their new companions could catch a break from their recent trials.


Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout Map Alcatraz Is Making A Comeback

In Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout, the once removed Alcatraz map will be making a comeback. The map had been previously available for one month and was mysteriously removed without any explanation or announcement. Great thing that the decision to remove the map was only temporary as players of the game were not happy about it. The new map will be going live simultaneously on all platforms. Also, new content that was made available earlier for PS4 will also be available for PC and Xbox One.


Monster Hunter: World Spring Update Reveal Dates Announced

Capcom has made the announcement for the upcoming Spring update of Monster Hunter: World. The Spring Update reveal will take place on Thursday, May 9th at 16:00 PT or 19:00 ET at the Monster Hunter Twitch Channel. We will get to see Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto as well as other members of the development team. They will be talking about the game’s upcoming content and events. Fans are also expecting that some details of the game’s upcoming expansion which is Iceborne will be announced.


Arc of Alchemist Delayed Until Winter

RPG Arc of Alchemist that was originally planned to launch this Summer has been delayed to Winter this year. The game is leaving early access using the time it had there to make a lot of improvements with the help of the community feedback.
