Fig Investor Claims Phoenix Point Epic Store Exclusivity Worth $2,25M

Someone who supported Phoenix Point on Fig has revealed that Epic Games paid over two million dollars to Phoenix Point developer Snapshot Games for the title’s timed-exclusivity deal. In a Resetera thread, the investor revealed that the game has already seen a one hundred ninety-one return on investment because of the arrangement. Fig also sent out an email to investors saying that the “distribution agreement has brought in significant resources” and has raised “the quality of the final game”.


Gearbox Confirms New “Radiation” Damage Type for Borderlands 3

A new damage type will be coming to Borderlands 3. Eagle-eyed fans spotted a shotgun with “radiation” damage type in a Twitter ad for the game earlier this month. Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford has confirmed the new damage type and added that it will be replacing the old “slag” damage type. Radiation will be similar to slag but will also feature a “damage-over-time component”. which makes it sound like it will work the same way corrosive damage worked in the first game.


Apex Legends Players Discover How to “Store” High Jump Bug from Opened Supply Bins

Some Apex Legends players have discovered that the super jump effect from opened supply bins can actually be stored and used later on whenever you want. These players have shared the discovery on the game’s official subreddit. User Calvin304 uploaded a video showing his character jumping against the side of a supply bin. Doing so causes their next jump to send them flying even if it’s after running around for 15 seconds. Check out the video on Reddit to learn how to do it.


Get to Play Street Fighter 5 for Free for Two Weeks

If you’ve been interested in trying out Street Fighter 5 for some time now but never really got the chance, you might want to check out the game on Steam come today. The game will be free-to-play for everyone for two weeks, which should be plenty of time for you to enjoy the game’s base roster. Capcom is also throwing in four DLC characters — Akuma, Blanka, Juri and Menat — although they’ll only be available in selected modes. Owners of the Arcade Edition also get free access to the DLC characters during this period.


3D Artist Lists Work on GTA 6 in Resume

A fan has taken to the GTA forums to post a screenshot of a resume that belongs to a certain 3D artist. What’s so special about this resume? Well, the resume shows that the artist worked at Rockstar Games as a “Jr vehicle artist” and was tasked to “create vehicles matching with real world for Gta5 DLC and upcoming Gta6.” Rockstar has yet to announce anything about GTA 6, but with how much money GTA 5 made them, it’s obvious that a sequel is in the works. Still, it’s hard to believe that this screenshot can serve as confirmation.


Potential Cyberpunk 2077 Points to 2019 Release Date

A potential leak points to a November 28th, 2019 release date for CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077. Slovakian-based Pro Gaming Shop lists the game on their site with the said release date, but it’s hard to confirm whether the site thinks its a confirmed date or is just some kind of placeholder. With the little that CD Projekt Red has shared about the game though, a 2019 release date is highly unlikely and evidence suggests that the game will most likely launch next year.


Mortal Kombat 11 File Size Revealed

Mortal Kombat 11’s file size for each platform has been revealed. For the Nintendo Switch, the game’s file size is 22.5 GB, the smallest size out of the four platforms. Up next is the Xbox One which is at 38.2 GB. On the PS4, it is at 42.6 GB, and on the PC, 64.5 GB. The file sizes already include any day one update, according to reports.


Days Gone Disc File Size is at 46 GB

Previous reports show that the install size for Days Gone will be at 67 GB, however, this is said to be incorrect. The game’s install size, according to what’s printed on its physical cover, is at 46 GB without any updates. Additional updates could increase the game’s file size to 60 GB, although nothing is set in stone for now. Days Gone will be launching on April 26th for the PlayStation 4.


Rage 2’s File Size on Xbox One Revealed

Rage 2 will be launching for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 2 on May 14th, and its file size for the Xbox One has been revealed. According to a listing on the Microsoft Store, the game’s would take around 30.83 GB of free space on the Xbox One. This, of course, could change if additional updates will need to be downloaded before launch. The game will be launching in both physical and digital forms.


Fortnite Might Be Getting an Avengers: Endgame Crossover

It looks like there’s going to be another Avengers: Endgame crossover event in Fortnite. The Fortnite official Twitter handle posted a Tweet that says, “Whatever it takes. 4.25.19.#FortniteXAvengers.” It comes with an image of a character holding Captain America’s shield. This could mean that battle royale players could be getting some gear from the Marvel movie franchise. The last crossover event coincided with Avengers: Infinity War, bringing the famed Infinity Gauntlet to the game, and letting players transform to Thanos.


Keen Gaming Brings Home ESL 2019 Championship Trophy

Keen Gaming emerged as victors of the ESL One Mumbai 2019. The team won 3-0 against Mineski. Keen Gaming took home 135,000 Dollars cash prize, plus the championship trophy. Mineski, on the other hand took home 70,000 Dollars. Both teams will now look forward to the MDL Disneyland Paris Major which is scheduled to take place in May.


Apex Legends Sees a Decline in Number of Stream Views

A new report on Apex Legends suggests that interest for the game is starting to decrease, as compared to Fortnite which appears to remain stable. The new report comes from StreamElements . The report shows Apex Legends did peak at 40 million hours watched weekly on Twitch, but by mid-March the viewing hours dropped to a little more than 10 million. Fortnite did experience a temporary dip in view count when Apex Legends launched, but quickly bounced back to 20 million and remained stable.


Street Fighter 5 is Free to Play Right Now

Street Fighter 5’s free trial kicks off! From now until May 5th, you’ll get to download and play Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition absolutely free. This offer is available for players on PC and PlayStation 4. Players on the PlayStation 4 who wish to play online will need a PS Plus subscription, though. The trial gives players access to 16 base characters as well as four DLC characters Akuma, Blanka, Juri, and Menat.


6 Games Confirmed for This Year’s E3

E3 2019 is set to take place from June 11 to 13 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. As of now, six games have been confirmed to be gracing the event. These games are Cyberpunk 2077, Doom Eternal, Dying Light 2, Halo Infinite, The RiftBreaker, and Scavengers. Another game has been confirmed which is the strategy game that Romero Games and Paradox Interactive are working on, however, a title has not been announced at this time.


Kingdom Hearts 3’s Critical Mode Now Available for Free

Long-time Kingdom Hearts fans will definitely be pleased to know that Square Enix has finally rolled out the much awaited Critical Mode for Kingdom Hearts 3. This mode launched as an update for players who own the game. Kingdom Hearts 3 franchise director Tetsuya Nomura announced this through Twitter. He added that they “changed things up from the previous games” so there’s something new to Critical Mode that players can look forward to. Critical Mode is the hardest difficulty in the game.


VR Puzzle Game Gadgeteer Launches in Early Access

Developer Metanaut has announced that its VR physics-based puzzle game Gadgeteer is heading to Steam Early Access. The early access build of the game will give include “50+ unique gadgets, 3 tool heads, 60 levels, and lovely music to listen to”. According to Metanaut, the game will be spending eight months in early access. Gadgeteer will let players build chain reaction machines using bits of wood and metal. They will then use these to guide silver balls from one point to another. The game will be available sometime this month.


Sekiro: Shadow Die Twice Update 1.03 Rolls Out

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice’s update 1.03 has rolled out across all platforms. This update will bring improvements to strategic approaches such as an adjustment in the efficiency and Spirit Emblem cost of Prosthetic Tools, Combat Arts, and Items in the Spiritfall Series. This update also brings an adjustment to loading screen tips and tutorial texts. It also has fixes to known bugs in the game. Gearbox and 2K Announce Borderlands VIP Vault Insider Program

2K and Gearbox have announced a program which will reward Borderlands fans. The program is called Borderlands V.I.P. Vault Insider Program, and it lets fans of the franchise earn points by doing different activities such as watching videos, reading articles, redeeming codes, and more. These points can then be used to redeem rewards, including in-game content for Borderlands 3. Players who wish to sign up must have a SHiFT account, and can sign up through their PlayStation, Xbox or Steam account.


Mortal Kombat 11’s DLC Characters Might Have Been Leaked

A rumor about Mortal Kombat 11’s DLC characters has been circulating on Reddit. Some data miners dug into the game’s Switch version’s files and found a roster of characters that could possibly be coming to the game via Kharacter Packs. The characters are: Shang Tsung, Nightwolf, Sindel, Sheeva, Fujin, Terminator, Joker, Spawn, and Ash. Nothing’s confirmed at this time, and it’s best to treat this as a rumor while we wait for official word from NetherRealm Studios.


343 Industries Does Not Plan to Add Battle Royale to Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite won’t be having battle royale. This was confirmed by Franchise Development Director Frank O’Conor. O’Conor issued this statement on behalf of 343 Industries to deny the claim of a report from Xbox insider Brad Sams that says Halo Infinite will have battle royale at launch. “We are NOT doing this as of now – and no plans to — but Battle Royale could be made for any of the Halo games in MCC or 5 with some content and scripting additions, because it is a mode,” O’Connor added.


SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech Launches April 25th on Switch

SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech will be launching on the Nintendo Switch on April 25th. This RPG-strategy card game will let players lead a party of steambots as they face intense battles using cards. Players will be able to craft their own decks, as the game offers over 100 unique cards. The game features turn-based battles and all other RPG elements such as earning XP. The game will also be coming to other platforms at a later date.


GT Sport’s April Update Announced, Going Live April 23rd

Polyphony Digital announced Gran Turismo Sport’s April update. Available as of April 23rd, the update will bring five cars to the game: Honda Fit Hybrid 2014, Audi TT Coupe 3.2 quattro 2003, Toyota Sprinter Trueno 3door 1600GT APEX (AE86) 1983, Renault R8 Gordini 1966, and the Porsche 962C 1988. More content are expected to be added to the game, as this is normally what GT Sport’s monthly updates include.
