Call of Cthulhu Is Coming To The Nintendo Switch

Call of Cthulhu is coming to the Nintendo Switch this year as announced by Focus Home Interactive! You will be playing as Edward Pierce who is tasked in investigating the death of Sarah Hawkins while getting to meet some very interesting characters along the way. It has been Sarah’s wealthy father who has hired you to investigate her cause of death. There will be various puzzles to solve and different paths to pursue. No exact date was given for the release, but we are sure that it will be this year.


Vampyr Able To Surpass One Million Sales Since Launch

Dontnod Entertainment’s action role-playing game Vampyr has reached a milestone, getting more than one million in sales! The game launched in June 2018 for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Because of the game’s success, Dontnod Entertainment together with Focus Home Interactive has renewed their partnership to create a new project together. No details were shared as of the moment for the project but we will keep you posted as we get to know more about this.


PC Version Of Yakuza Kiwami 2 Teased By Sega

We all know that Sega is already planning a PC port of Yakuza Kiwami 2 because of the PC rating it was able to get from the MSRP. But we may think that this will be happening sooner rather than later. Another clue has been shared by Sega as it has changed its official Steam account avatar. The new avatar is an eyepatch which we suspect is worn by the Yakuza character Goro Majima. This is usually how Sega drops hints for many years. With this, the game’s PC release is surely very near.


Borderlands 3 Cross-Play Might Be Possible

Borderlands 3 could possibly have crossplay as 2K and Gearbox are actually considering it. The cross-play feature was previously mentioned on the Microsoft Store and was since deleted in the post. But because of this, 2K Games and Gearbox started talking about it. When asked if cross-play will be a feature in the game, a 2K Games representative said that “Cross-play is something we’re looking at closely, but we don’t have anything to confirm or announce at this time”.


Sandbox Interactive’s Albion Online Is Free To Play

Albion Online is now free to play. Interested players can go to the Albion site in order to download the client and start playing. The game will still have paying players and that will be the Premium status. This status can be purchased with real-world money or in-game currency. For those using free accounts, there will be no game-play restrictions. For those who purchased the Founder’s pack, you are awarded with a Specter Wolf mount, 1000 cold, 3-days Premium status and an in-game ring.


Playrise Digital’s Table Top Racing: World Tour – Nitro Edition Is Getting A Nintendo Switch Release

Developer Playrise Digital and Greenlight Games has announced that Table Top Racing: World Tour – Nitro Edition will be getting a Nintendo Switch release on May 1st. The game Table Top Racing: World Tour was originally launched for the PC and Xbox One in 2016. After 5 million downloads across all of the game’s platforms, the next logical step is to bring the game to more platforms. The Switch version will have the complete game with all the DLCs and updates plus a two-player split screen.


Destiny 2 Spring-themed Event Shared

The first spring-themed event for Destiny 2 has been revealed by Bungie in its two-year roadmap. The event is called the Revelry which will start on April 16. The event will be reviving the Haunted Forest with a more cheery landscape and also offering the Reveler’s Tonic. There will also be lots of loot like the Inaugural Revelry and Vernal Growth armor sets. The Arbalest which is a kinetic fusion rifle is also available plus some themed, cute cosmetic items. This event will run until May 7 only.


Moonlighter Gets First Paid DLC Called Between Dimensions

Digital Sun’s action role-playing game Moonlighter is getting its first ever paid DLC. The game’s DLC is called Between Dimensions which will include an interdimensional dungeon, new monsters, new weapons and armor, ten new enemy types, five new mini-bosses, and a bunch of new magic rings. Also, players are able to add a new selection to their shop so that they can showcase interdimensional wares. A new NPC called The Trader and a new class of ‘Trick Weapons’ will also come to the game with this DLC.


New Quality Of Life Improvement Update To Come To Elite: Dangerous

Elite: Dangerous is getting a new update on April 23rd which will be introducing some quality of life improvements that will be improving the experience of beginners in the game. A discrete beginners zone will be made available which will be blocked off from all rookie players so that those new to the game can earn their first ranks in combat, trade, and exploration. Some of the complex flight mechanics will be automated and there will also be simpler missions for those starting off.


New Doom Mod, Mr. Friendly Will Have You Helping Demons

Doom has a new mod all thanks to JP LeBreton. The mod is called Mr. Friendly and it removes the game’s violence and replaces it with just chill talking and exploring. The Mr. Friendly mod will have players examining items, talking to demons who have specific names and helping them out. You can go fishing and what not. One quest will even have you looking for a fish to give to the kid of one of the demons as a pet. So. if you’re sick of all the violence and would want a chill time playing then this is for you.


Overwatch Archives: Strom Rising Reveals Baptiste Legendary Skin

The Overwatch Archives: Storm Rising event will be arriving with a Baptiste skin. Baptiste before being a good guy in Overwatch was actually a bad guy and was a part of the terrorist group Talon after the Ominc War ravaged the land. During this time, Baptiste had dreads and wore a red top which actually looks good on him. This could also be the very first Legendary skin to be announced for Storm Rising. Overwatch Archives: Storm Rising will run on April 16 up until May 6.


Forklifts are Returning in Shenmue 3

If you’re a Shenmue fan, you’ll be happy to know that forklifts will be available in Shenmue 3. The news came from a screenshot revealed by publisher Koch Media, showing Ryo driving a forklift. Ryo can get jobs in Shenmue 3, so this confirms that driving a forklift is just one of the jobs he will be getting. The original Shenmue also had a fun forklift race, but there’s no confirmation whether it will also be possible in Shenmue 3.


PvEvP Shooter The Cycle to Begin Open Alpha Tests This Week

YAGER has announced that its PvEvP shooter The Cycle has reached a milestone in its development, as such the game will be having weekly alpha playtests beginning Friday, April 12th. The said playtests will run each week until the start of the game’s closed beta, and is free for everyone who signs up. All progress in the playtests will carry over to the next week. YAGER will use these playtests to gather feedback from players. The Cycle’s closed beta will take place sometime in Spring.


Retro Platformer Whipseey and the Lost Atlas Announced

Game developer Daniel Ramirez has announced his upcoming game, Whipseey and the Lost Atlas. It is a retro-platformer scrolling game, and Ramirez says it is a throwback to a golden age. It features “picturesque levels, a relaxing soundtrack, memorable boss fights, and vivid pixel art courtesy of Super Crate Box and Luftrausers artist Roy Nathan De Groot.” The game will be launching for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 in Q3 2019.


The Division 2 Gets a Public Test Server

The Division 2 is getting a Public Test Server, and it is exclusive for players on PC. As its name suggests, the PTS will be used for testing upcoming features before it gets released, and yes, it’s open for everyone. There is no Non-Disclosure Agreement, so players in the PTS can stream anytime they want. The PTS will be opened later this month, ahead of The Division 2’s title update 3.


Rocket League’s New Rocket Pass and Esports Shop Coming Next Week

Rocket League is getting its next Rocket Pass on April 17th. This new Rocket Pass, just like the previous ones released, will allow players to unlock cosmetics, as well as loot box keys by earning Rocket Pass tiers. The next Rocket Pass will also bring a new set of challenges for players which will allow players to earn extra tier points. In related news, the game’s Esports Shop will also open, and will be available to players starting April 16th.


Female Fighter Nakoruru Showcased in New Samurai Shodown Trailer

SNK is getting fans hyped by releasing a character trailer after announcing Samurai Shodown’s release date. The trailer showcases the female fighter Nakoruru. She comes with an eagle companion which will also take on foes from above. The trailer also highlights some of Nakoruru’s movesets. Shadow Shodown will be launching on June 27 for PS4 and Xbox One. The game will also be released on PC and Switch, but SNK did not announce a release date for both platforms at this time.


Beyond the Veil Launches on Steam on April 19th

Incubator Creations has announced the release date for its top-down-shooter RPG hybrid Beyond the Veil. The game will be launching on April 19th on Steam. Beyond the Veil will bring players in a dark fantasy world where they will play as the wanderer who’s on a journey to ancient lands. Players will gather resources, food, water, and weapons in order to survive the challenges they will face. Beyond the Veil features procedural maps, RPG mechanics, and top-down combat.


Skyforge’s Latest PC Update “New Horizons” Out Now

Skyforge’s New Horizon update has rolled out on PC, bringing new locations, new quests, and enemies to the game. With the new update, the game is also sporting a new interface, so searching for suitable activities in the game is now easier, making you get the maximum reward available. If you’re looking for a game that’s similar with Rocket League, hear this. Axiom Soccer is a competitive vehicle sports game, and it is out now on Steam. The game is currently free so you might want to give it a try. Axiom Soccer looks a lot like Rocket League, but instead of 4-wheeled vehicles, players guide a drone around an arena as they attempt to shoot the ball in the opponent’s net. The game supports up to 4 players in local multiplayer and up to 6 players online.


Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain Launches Exclusively on the PS4

The PS4 exclusive game Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain has officially launched. This game gives players a chance to dive back into the Earth Defense Force series as it picks up 12 years after Earth’s initial encounter with the Aggressor Invasion. Iron Rain features four soldier classes, online and local multiplayer split-screen modes, and character customization.
