Valve Highlights Changes Coming to Steam This Year

Valve published a blog post in which they detailed their plans or 2019. Valve expressed the many incoming changes under these subheadings: Store Discoverability, Steam China, Steam Library Update, New Events System, Steam TV, Steam Chat, Steam Trust and Steam PC Cafe Program. It is shaping up to be a very promising year for Valve as they prepare to compete against emerging stores. Steam also now hosts over 30,000 games which is more than enough incentive to update and improve the existing system.


New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe Tops UK Sales Chart in Its First Week

One of the best things about the Nintendo Switch is that we can now enjoy some of the best games that released on the Wii U but did not get the attention they deserved because of how bad the console did, both critically and commercially. To prove this, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe was the top-selling game in the UK during its release week. Meanwhile, another big release that week, Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition, failed to break into the top 10.


Record of Agarest War Mariage Release Date Announced

Record of Agarest War Mariage now has a solid release date. The game will be coming to Steam on February 1st. Whatā€™s more is that details for the Deluxe Bundle have also been revealed. The Deluxe Bundle will include the base game plus the Character Art Book, Event Art Book, 9 wallpapers ā€” 3 for PC and 6 for mobile, and the 58-track Original Soundtrack of the game. The game was first released on the PlayStation Portable and comes to Steam with support for both English and Japanese.


At Sundown: Shots in the Dark Heads to Steam

At Sundown: Shots in the Dark is coming to Steam, Xbox One, PS4 and Switch on January 22nd. The stealth-focused arena shooter first released as one of the ā€œFirst on Discordā€ indie titles and stayed as a 90-day exclusive on the platform. The game features 4-player battles where players can only be seen when they shoot, dash or step into illuminated areas, making stealth central to winning matches. Players will get to battle in 6 unique zones with various maps, each one adding a twist to the battles.


My Memory of Us Switch Release Announced

The side-scrolling puzzle game that tells a story of hope and heroism in a city inspired by Warsaw during the Second World War is coming to the Switch. My Memory of us is currently available on PC, Xbox One and PS4, but itā€™ll be jumping onto Nintendoā€™s hybrid console come January 24th. The game is presented in a cartoonish art style with only shades of grey and red for color. Events in the game are also inspired by events during the war and are meant to pay homage to those who fell during the Nazi occupation.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season Episode 4 Release Date Leaked In-Game

Skybound Gamesā€™ The Walking Dead: The Final Season is hinted to be releasing in March of this year. This information was gathered upon inspecting the in-game episode menu. The menu confirmed that the fourth and final chapter of the series will officially debut on March 26, 2019. Previously the development process was halted but once it resumed the fans and analysts alike knew the final episode to be coming soon. Now we all have a very good estimate as to how soon to expect the final release.


EA Cancels Its Open-World Star Wars Game

According to three people who are familiar with what is happening in EA, the companyā€™s open-world Star Wars game has been canceled. The game had been previously handled by Visceral Games, but when they closed, EA Vancouver studio took over in October 2017. A complete reboot was proposed for the project when EA Vancouver took over turning it into the open-world game as promised. However, that project has been canceled as well. We are waiting for further comment about this from EA.


Mysterious Floating Sphere Appears In Fortnite

It looks like the dawn of a new big in-game event is coming to Fortnite with the appearance of a huge sphere-like object. Right now the sphere doesnā€™t seem to be doing anything but as with previous Fortnite events, all we would have to do is wait. According to some data miners, this will be the portal for the return of the Ice King, and some sort of a count down will commence soon. This will come with an ice storm as well as some PvE creatures known as the Ice Legion. We will know more about this soon.


Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 115 Day of Celebration in Zombiez Is Now Live

Treyarch has announced the update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4ā€™s 115 Day of Celebration in Zombies. This will be available up until January 18th at 6PM GMT. This will come with a new in-game event as well as some other content. The event is the Gauntlets in Zombies mode which is a 30-round challenge with some unique rules. During this time players are also able to get double the amount of XP, weapon XP, and Nebulium Plasma. Also, three types of Elixirs will be made available in the game during this time.


The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr Expansion Revealed

ZeniMax Online Studios announced that the next major expansion for Elder Scrolls Online, Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr will be available on June 4th this year. This new expansion is about the same size as Summerset and it features a 30-hour main story with the scope of a year. There will be four quarterly releases starting with Wrathstone in February. Players will be siding with Khajiit in defending their homeland while battling with the invaders which are the Imperials with deadly dragons.


Sci-fi Game Called Pioneer Gets Cancelled By Ubisoft

Ubisoft cancels its open-universe sci-fi exploration game called Pioneer. This was confirmed on Twitter by director Alex Hutchinson. The game was technically not announced as the trailer reveal for it was only seen in a mission on Watch Dogs 2. The missionā€™s objective was to break in a video game studio, steal a top-secret game trailer and then sell it to the game press. The video trailer was that of Pioneer, which was a real game. The game was supposed to launch in 2017 before being scrapped.


Forza Horizon 4 No Longer Has the Carlton And Floss Dance Emotes

In the recent big Series 5 update for Forza Horizon 4, both the Carlton and Floss dance emotes have been removed. Microsoft did not issue an explanation on why those emotes had been removed, but we are sure that this has something to do with the fact that Epic Games are subject to lawsuits because of it for their game Fortnite. The only statement given by the spokesperson of Microsoft was that ā€œForza Horizon 4 features a large portfolio of content and is continually being updatedā€.


Free Trial For Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 Battle Royale Mode Announced

Activision has announced the seven-day free trial of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Battle Royale mode popularly known as Blackout. The free trial will start on January 17th and will run for one week and end on the 27th. No specifics are available for the free trial mode as of yet but a teaser trailer has been revealed for its announcement. Right now, the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout mode is only available with the full price package of the game for PC.


City of Brass Coming to Switch

Uppercut Games has announced their Arabian Nights-inspired game called City of Brass will be coming to the Nintendo Switch on February 8th. This first-person rogue-lite game was first launched for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One last year and was available in early access for about six months. The previous updates for the new game which includes new mechanics, weapons, relics, enemies, game modifiers and so much more will also be available in the Nintendo Switch version of the game.


Team Sonic Racing Villains Team Eggman Squad Revealed

A new team of racers are joining all the action in Team Sonic Racing! The new team is the villainous Team Eggman Squad which features three villains that have been part of Sonicā€™s history: Dr. Eggman, Metal Sonic, and Zavok. These characters are part of the 15 racers in the gameā€™s roster, and are grouped according to teams. Each racer in the team has its own role: speed, technique, and power. You can experience all the action when Team Sonic Racing launches on May 21st on PC and consoles.


Onimusha: Warlords Out Now on PC

Just days before its 18th anniversary, Capcom has released the remastered version of Onimusha: Warlords on PC. This version is a straight remaster of the original instead of a remake. This yearā€™s version features sharper 2D pre-rendered backdrops as well as widescreen support. A new control mode has also been added for players who are weary of the originalā€™s tank controls. All these changes were added, but fans of the game will be happy to know the game remains unchanged.


GTA Online Gets New Muscle Car

This weekā€™s GTA Online update will take players back to the 1970ā€™s with the addition of the 70s-style Declasse Tulip muscle car. Players can get this car exclusively at Southern San Andreas Super Autos. Also part of the update is double GTA cash which players can earn from all Smugglerā€™s Run Cargo Sales. Thereā€™s also a chance for players to earn double GTA cash plus RP in selected Adversary Modes until January 21st.
