Anno 1602 Free Until December 22nd

The very first Anno game, Anno 1602 was first released in 1998. After 20 years the game does look dated but if you are interested, you can play this for free up until December 22nd. In order to play, you would just need a Ubisoft account and it will automatically be added to your library. Anno 1602 had been a hit in Germany selling millions but that is not the case in the west where it opened to mixed reviews. An upcoming Anno game is also expected which is Anno 1800 and it will launch on February 26, 2019.


World of Warcraft Feast of Winter Veil Brings Seasonal Quest and More

World of Warcraft is getting a seasonal event called the Feast of Winter Veil. This brings holiday quests to Orgrimmar and Ironforge, and there will also be special seasonal gifts and some festive decor. Players that are at level 60 or higher have the opportunity to go on a quest named ā€œYouā€™re a Mean Oneā€, where theyā€™ll recover stolen treats, free Metzen the Reindeer, and end the reign of terror of the Abominable Greench in the Hillsbrad Foothills. There are more to this event which will run until January 2nd.


Pagan Online Beta Registration Now Open

Mad Head Games and Wargaming have announced their newest action RPG with some MOBA design ā€“ Pagan Online ā€“ about a month ago. This time, a new gameplay teaser trailer has been released for the game. The game is set in a ā€œpre-Christian mythologyā€. It offers an interesting progression system where you build a roster of characters that will have lots of specialties that you can use depending on the situation. No release date is available for the game as of yet but the beta registration is now open.


War Thunder Gets Supersonic Update

War Thunder is getting a huge Supersonic update which comes with 50 new vehicles as well as new maps. The vehicles available are for Aviation, Ground, and Naval Forces. Some of the aircrafts added are the American F-100D Super Sabre, the British Gloster Javelin Mk 9 and the Soviet MiG-19PT. The combat vehicles, on the other hand, include the Breda 501 and B1 Centauro tank destroyers, M3 Bradley and T-72A battle tank. New cruisers and warships have also been added.


Morrowind: Rebirth Gets End of Year Update

The Elder Scrolls 3 mod Morrowind: Rebirth is getting a massive end-of-year update. Morrowind Rebirth version 4.9 includes balance changes, textures, locations, and models among other features. It also contains an overhaul for unique weapons and armor as well as some new graphics. Given the massive scale of this update, its patch notes are quite extensive as well, and you may view them on ModDB.


Latest Rainbow Six Siege Update Nerfs Kaidā€™s Sniper Pistol

Ubisoft has rolled out a new patch for Rainbow Six Siege that brings changes to Wind Bastion operators as well as some balances and tweaks. First up is Kaid who gets his sniper pistol nerfed. Kaidā€™s .44 Mag Semi Auto now has increased recoil and reduced damage. Aside from Kaid, the other Wind Bastion operator, Nomad, is also getting tweaks ā€“ her stun grenades replaced with claymore. This patch is now available on all platforms.


League of Legends Will No Longer Support Windows XP

Riot Games has announced that League of Legends will no longer be supporting Windows XP. In its announcement, the company also added the game wonā€™t be supporting Windows Vista as well. Both of these wonā€™t be supported starting May 2019. The reason behind this is because Microsoft has stopped rolling out updates for these operating systems, making it harder for Riot to maintain a secure League of Legends experience every day.


Frosty Fest Returns to Rocket League

Rocket League is getting festive as its Frosty Fest special event has gone live. Frosty Fest returns this year, allowing players to compete in matches and earn a special currency called Snowflakes. Players can then spend these on cosmetics. There are also Special Gifts that allows players to gain an item from crates such as Nitro, Overdrive, Turbo, and Santa. Frosty Fest runs until January 7th.


Bus Simulator 18 Gets Free Roaming and Sandbox Modes in Update

Bus Simulator 18 got its sixth update, and it brings two new game modes: Free Roaming and Sandbox Mode. Free Roaming mode allows players to freely explore Seaside Valley and its different city districts without timetables and routes holding them back. Sandbox Mode, on the other hand, is one of the features the gameā€™s community has been asking from the devs. This mode gives players access to all buses and city districts without the need to unlock them. The update is available now on Steam.


1000-Player Fantasy Battle Royale ā€œMortal Royaleā€ Out Now

Star Vault AB has announced its battle royale game Mortal Royale is now on Steam Early Access. This game is free to anyone who has a Steam account. Mortal Royale can support up to 1,000 players in a single match. It also includes melee, archery, magic, and mounted combat. The game also features hundreds of weapons, over 60 powerful spells, and a 64 square kilometer map. Most of all, you simply need to login to Steam to play the game.


KURSK Version 2.0 Update Rolls Out

KURSK, the documentary-adventure game from Jujubee has received a brand new update. The gameā€™s version 2.0 update promises to enhance playersā€™ overall experience, bringing features according to its communityā€™s feedback. This update brings new and enhanced animations, a more user-friendly interface, and new and improved visuals and ambient sounds. This update also includes fixes to issues such as loading times and more.


Bladed Fury Now Available on Steam

NEXT Studios announced that their new action-adventure game, Bladed Fury is now available on Steam. The game is based on Chinese history and mythology. The developers ensured it had a very unique traditional Chinese art-style that players find addictive and attractive. Coupled with the art-style, the exquisite sound design is even more so mesmerizing as it awards players a taste of Ancient China. NEXT Studios invites you to witness the beginning of a new world. Fallout 76 Replacement Bags to Ship Out in 4-6 Months

Looks like Bethesda is finally trying to redeem themselves with the whole duffle bag mishap. As you remember, Bethesda advertised that neat-looking duffle bags made from canvas would ship with Fallout 76ā€™s collectorā€™s edition. However, they ended up shipping cheap nylon bags instead. Now, they started sending emails to those affected that theyā€™ll be sending replacement bags, but it will take 4-6 months to manufacture and deliver. Thereā€™s also another 500 atoms up for grabs to compensate for the wait.


New Devil May Cry 5 Trailer Showcases V in Action

Up until now, weā€™ve only mostly seen the third playable character in Devil May Cry 5 being teased. However, Capcom has finally released a full trailer focusing on V the demon summoner. Unlike Nero and Dante, V prefers having his three demon summons do the dirty work for him, swooping in at the last minute to give the finishing blow. The trailer also gives us a glimpse of the complicated relationship between V and Dante. Devil May Cry 5 is set to launch on March 8th for PC, Xbox One and PS4.


Media Moleculeā€™s Dreams Beta Schedule Announced

Developer Media Molecule of LittleBigPlanet fame will be opening up sign-ups for the public beta of their next game soon. The Dreams beta opened up yesterday for those who subscribed to the Media Molecule newsletter before December 7th, but those who were not fast enough will be able to sign up and preview the game come January 8th. The beta wonā€™t feature ā€œthe bulk of playable things in Dreamsā€, but will instead focus on creation. The gameā€™s story mode and VR support wonā€™t be available either.


GTA Online Gets New Arena War Mode

Enjoy vehicular mayhem in GTA Online with the arrival of the new Arena War Mode. This new mode called the Buzzer Beater pits players together in a race against each other and time. Players must collect checkpoints that are available across the Maze Bank Arena to add precious seconds to your life and survive the longest. You must be the last rider left in order to be dubbed the winner. To celebrate, if you jump into the Buzzer Beater or any Arena War mode, you can earn double GTA money or PR points this week.

Fortniteā€™s 7.10 Update Brings With It The 14 Days Of Fortnite Event

Fortniteā€™s 7.10 update is now live and it comes with a lot of weapon and balance tweaks. The most notable however is 14 Days of Fortnite which is a limited time event that has new as well as returning Limited Time Modes, some challenges, and so much more. This will start on December 19 and will run for just two weeks. The ā€œlarge team modesā€ will be rotating every 48 hours and the ā€œsmall team modesā€ every 24 hours. Hitman 2 Brings Holiday Hoarders Contract Back for Christmas

Hitman 2 is bringing back the Holiday Hoarders Christmas contract from the first game. The mission tasks players to take out a couple of bumbling thieves based on the burglars from the iconic Home Alone movies. This time around the mission is set on a reworked Paris map and has been given more polish. The mission also comes with a set of challenges that players can complete to permanently unlock a Santa suit. The update will also feature new Featured Contracts and bug fixes.


Steam Award Nominees Revealed

The Steam Award Nominees are revealed and vying for the Game of the Year Award are PlayerUnknownā€™s Battlegrounds, Monster Hunter World, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Hitman 2 and Assassins Creed Odyssey. A separate category is also available for VR Game of the Year and the nominees are Skyrim VR, VRChat, Beat Saber, Fallout 4 VR and Superhot VR. Warframeā€™s Profit Taker Update is Live Now on PC

A huge new update has just dropped for Warframe on PC. The Profit Taker is the first big update for the Fortuna expansion and adds the titular boss, a formidable giant mechanical spider. Players will need to complete new missions to earn Archguns before they can challenge the new boss. A new Warframe has also been added, Baruuk the pacifist monk, along with a host of new weapons, mods, customization items and more. The update is out now on PC and will release soon for PS4 and Xbox One.


Frostpunk Gets New Festive Update

Frostpunk is getting a Christmas update with a new quest called ā€˜A Christmas Carolā€™. This new quest is available in the Endless mode where the survivors are requesting for a big communal meal with gift giving. Given the circumstances, they still wanted you to preserve Christmas for the next generation. Of course, you would have to balance this out as you must weigh the morale of the people as well as the costs of having a party in a situation where everything is scarce. A Christmas Carol is out now.
