Turn-Based Action Strategy Game Batalj Revealed

Independent developer Fall Damage suggests that we get ready for Batalj. This is a turn-based action strategy game in which you build a squad and battle other players one vs one. Full Damage desires to take a whole new approach to the genre. Markus Nyström, Creative Director at Fall Damage said “We focused on making it as accessible as possible without sacrificing depth”.Batalj is currently in closed beta on PC but sign-ups are open on their website.


Thea 2 The Shattering has Launched in Steam Early Access

The sequel to MuHa Games’ 2015 4X Rougelike RPG, Thea The Awakening, has finally hit Early Access. Thea 2 The Shattering will have players taking on the role of a gods while guiding a tribe of followers to victory. The game is set deep in Slavic myth and folklore and features a variety of creatures to encounter. MuHa says the game will stay in Early Access for about six months. On full launch, the game will feature Steam Workshop support for mods.


Overkill’s The Walking Dead Now has a Starter Edition

Starbreeze has launched a Starter Edition for Overkill’s The Walking Dead. This move comes after the game sold poorly at launch. The Starter Edition will only include Season 1 content, but no level or progression restrictions have been placed. Also, owners of the full game can invite Starter Edition players to Season 2 missions. Starter Edition players will be able to purchase Season 2 content separately, with prizes varying depending on each episode’s size.


Project Nova Alpha Test Put on Hold Indefinitely

Project Nova, the first-person shooter based from Sandbox MMO EVE Online, was supposed to have a closed alpha testing this month, but CCP has put it on hold indefinitely. The developer is asking for understanding as they go back to the drawing board after playtests and player feedback have determined that the game does ot live up to their ambitious goals in its current state. CCP however wants to reassure EVE fans that they are committed to Project Nova.


Override: Mech City Brawl Features Co-op Multiplayer

Getting to fight as gigantic robots is already a treat on its own, but to have multiple people controlling just one robot in a battle is something that piques the curiosity. Welcome to Override: Mech City Brawl. Here, there will be 12 humongous robots battling it out across the world. It has a single-player campaign and a multiplayer campaign. The multiplayer campaign will have you and three of your friends controlling just one giant mech with each one responsible for a specific part.


Cooking Simulator Launcher Early 2019 on PC

Wastelands Interactive has announced that they are working on a new game called Cooking Simulator. The game will feature a Cooking School Mode for its tutorials, a Career Mode to let players work towards their dream of becoming the world’s top chef, and a Sandbox mode to let players have complete culinary freedom. The game will have over 120 ingredients to use in 60 recipes, and will also require the player to not just cook but manage the kitchen. Cooking Simulator is set to release in early 2019.


Monster Hunter World’s Winter Star Fest Event Now Underway

Monster Hunter World is getting a “Winter Star Fest” and just like previous events, players can earn tickets that will give them access to some new armor, new palico gear, special weapons and so much more. Additionally, there will be more limited-time hunts as well. Also, included are new dances plus food during the festival. To make the experience complete some NPCs will be dressed in festive clothes that are in-line with the holidays. The event will be running up until December 18, 2018.


Crossout’s Story-Driven Adventure Mode Closed Beta Live Now

Free-to-play post-apocalyptic vehicle crafting and battling game Crossout will be adding a new Adventure mode where players will work together in a story-driven campaign. Adventure mode is currently in closed beta and will feature quest and events taking place all over the game world. Players can choose to go through the mode alone or with a party of friends. Only players who purchased the Wholesale Recall pack have a chance to get into the beta, but they’ll still need to apply.


Total War: Three Kingdoms Gets Diplomacy System Overhaul

The diplomacy system for Total War: Three Kingdoms is getting an overhaul from the ground up. The update introduces a range of diplomatic tools which will enable players to come up with a host of new outcomes. One of the tools introduced allows players to employ new tradeable assets and use them as leverage for negotiations. These range from items, characters, food, and territory. Another thing is that Diplomacy will now enable players to build relations, manipulate opinion, form alliances, and more.


Bossgard Closed Beta Announced

Fast-paced asymmetrical multiplayer game Bossgard is staging a Closed Beta, and it’s happening on December 14th. The beta will give participants access to its online multiplayer mode, Valhalla (that includes new weapons, equipment, and familiars), new arenas, and a new surprise area to explore. The developers aim to test the game’s online aspect during the beta, and at the same time get feedback from players. Bossgard is currently in development for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.


Skyforge’s Distant Frequencies Expansion Release Date Revealed

The Skyforge expansion called Distant Frequencies has been announced and it will be arriving on December 11 for PC and December 12 for PlayStation 4 and December 13 for Xbox One. This will come with a brand new class called the Soundweaver. This is a new support class that relies on their musical talent to give inspiration all around. They will set up portable loudspeakers on the battlefield and are able to up the morale of their allies and rain down powerful sounds on the enemies.

Red Dead Redemption 2’s Missing Molly Bug Fixed

Rockstar Games has rolled out patch version 1.0.1 for Red Dead Online. The patch consisted of many bug fixes, most notably the return of Molly. Players reported that pre-patch 1.01, the character sometimes went missing from their camp after the American Distillation mission. Rockstar Games and players alike are relieved considering the inconvenience the bug caused. Other fixes include those for game menus, story mode companions, terrain and environment, weapons, items, and clothing, and more.


Marduk and Armor King Join Tekken 7

Bandai Namco is elated to announce the renewal of the rivalry between Marduk and Armor King. Both characters will make their presence felt as they arrive in Tekken 7 decked out in new designs, preceding Julia Chang who will conclude the season 2 roster. This was revealed right before the quarterfinals commenced in the Tekken World Tour Finals on December 2nd. Julia Chang’s arrival in Tekken 7 doesn’t have a definite release date at this time.


Firewatch Heading to Switch This Month

Firewatch fans are in for a treat as developer Campo Santo announces that the game is coming to Nintendo Switch on December 17, 2018. The game will be available via the Nintendo eShop on all regions. Prepare to be captivated in an all new immersive VR experience as you explore the Wyoming wilderness. Firewatch puts players in the shoes of a man who joined the US Forest Service, and is set in the year 1989 during the wildfire season of 1989.


French Player Wins EU Fortnite Winter Royale

A massive congratulations to french pro Fortnite professional player Clément “Skite” Danglot on winning the European Winter Royale grand prize of $75,000. The qualification statistics suggest that we are not to be surprised that the 19 year old won. He qualified with 13 points more than fan favorite Tyler “Ninja” Blevins and finished the final round with 10 points to put his prowess into perspective.


MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries to Release September 2019

Piranha Games announced that MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries will be launched on September 19, 2019. The announcement was made at MechCon 2018 as the studio showcased a cinematic trailer which illustrated some magnetizing features. Promised destructible landscapes, co-op multiplayer, intricate and satisfying combat mechanics have players and fans fueled with enthusiasm. The game was originally scheduled to be released sometime this year but was delayed to 2019 back in June.


Rare Makes Tweaks on Some Sea of Thieves Achievements

The bulk of the Sea of Thieves player-base will be ecstatic to uncover that Rare has reduced the level of grind previously required to acquire achievements. The game has taken much flack for said issue resulting in the loss of chunks of its players-base. Some of these achievements that got a tweak include: “Black Powder Merchant,” “Merchant Voyager,” “Voyager of Lost Souls,” “Golden Voyager,” “Hoarder of Barnacled Gold,” “Hoarder of the Captain’s Gold,” and “Master Hunter of Villainous Skulls.”


Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Celebrates First Anniversary

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is celebrating its first year, and the game as well as its Torna expansion have both been updated to Version 2.0.2 and Version 1.0.2 respectively. It also adds Mythra’s new outfit from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate that is set to launch Friday, December 7th. Aside from this, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Torna: The Golden Country’s soundtrack will be released digitally, and will be available starting December 14th.


Stellaris Expansion Megacorp Launches December 7th

Stellaris will be getting its MegaCorp expansion this week, and Paradox Interactive shared what players can expect from it. Set to release December 7th, the Megacorp expansion will include a new world type as well as a set of roaming salesmen called Caravaneers. The new planet is called Ecumenopolis, and it supports huge populations. This planet includes new megastructures, and a galactic slave market. this expansion launches alongside the free Le Guin update.


Star Citizen Receives Over 7 Million Dollars During Free Fly Week

Star Citizen’s free week has ended, and players have clearly loved the game as evidenced by a new round of funding the game received. Over the free fly week, Star Citizen has received an additional 7 million Dollars in funding. The new total is now over 208 million Dollars. The free fly week gave players a chance to try the game’s 80 ships as well as explore its planet Hurston and its city Lorville.


Darksiders 3 Gets Its First Patch

Darksiders 3 has received its first patch, a few days after it launched. The patch includes performance fixes, and one of its most important inclusions is a few tweaks to its easiest difficulty, Story. Apparently, this difficulty level is not a walk in the park as some players expected, so Gunfire Games made some adjustments and made it even “more forgiving.” the patch is not yet available to all players at this time. They Are Billions Gets Level Editor

Numantian Games released a level editor for its zombie plague real-time strategy game They Are Billions, and it’s now available on Steam. The level editor lets players build their own survival scenarios. To get access to this, players must subscribe to a level in the Steam Workshop, then they will be able to hit Custom Levels when they launch a new game. The feature launched November 29th, and now the game already has 120 custom levels players can play in, including a full episodic campaign and tons of super hard challenges.
