Rust and Garry’s Mod Developer Announces New Arena Tactics Game Clatter

Rust and Garry’s mod developer Facepunch has announced that they are working on a new game. Taking a break from sandbox and survival game, their next offering will be cartoony arena tactics game called Clatter. The game will revolve around commanding squads of comical customisable robots in tactical battles. Players can take on AI enemies or test their squads out in multiplayer. Clatter is set to launch on Steam this December.


We. The Revolution Release Date Announced

Polystash and Klabater have announced the release date for We. The Revolution. The game will be launching on March 31st next year, with a Switch version following shortly after. No Xbox One and PS4 version were announced. We,.The Revolution puts players in the shoes of a judge during the French Revolution. Players will need to sit through trials and decide whether the accused should be acquitted, imprisoned, or sent to the guillotine. Oc Course, external factors will try to influence your decision.


MMO Dual Universe Gets Alpha Test

The ambitious sci-fi MMO from Novaquark called Dual Universe is now in alpha testing. During this phase, players will be able to explore, build and trade, but combat won’t come until later. The alpha release features a play area the size of Great Britain and will provide numerous tools for mining, harvesting, transporting, storing and selling building resources. Those who are interested through will need to pay a hefty sum to enter, with the Sponsor Pack and the Patron Pack costing 120 euros and 180 euros respectively.


Pathologic 2 to Release in Chapters, First Part to Release Mid-2019

Ice-Pick Lodge has announced that they’ll be splitting the release of Pathologic 2 into 3. The game follows three unique perspectives — the Haruspex, the Bachelor, and the Changeling — and developer Nikolay Dybowski says they’ve decided to release each perspective individually. The dev team has need to work with less funding than desired and following this sort of episodic release format will allow them to get the game in the hands of players faster.


Destiny 2 Won’t Be Having Trails and action Ralliers This Season

Destiny 2’s Trials of the Nine and Faction Rally modes won’t be returning for the new season. Destiny 2 community manager Cozmo posted the announcement on the game’s subreddit, where he said that the devs are working on improving the modes to live up to players expectations. Although both modes existed even in the first game, their versions in the sequel have always failed to satisfy the player base. Hopefully, that’s about to change. No hints were given as to when these modes will return.


Wayward Games to Help in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Development

Koji Igarashi has announced that he has enlisted the help of Wayforward, the studio behind the Shantae series, DuckTales Remasted, and other quality 2D platforms, for development of Castlevania-inspired platformer Blood Stained Ritual of the Night. Igarashi did not elaborate on what role Wayforward will play exactly in Bloodstained’s development, just that they will act as support and that their help should make Bloodstained an even better game.


8-Bit Armies Limited Edition Launches February 2019

Soedesco has announced that 8-Bit Amies is getting a Limited Edition for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. This edition will truly be limited, as only 6000 copies will be produced. Players can expect to get the base game, its soundtrack, a game manual, skull bandana, flag, and 8-bit pins that were based from the game. There will also be 12 stamps featuring characters from 8-Bit Armies, dog tag, and a papercraft tank players can construct on their own, All these will come in a gold embossed box and will launch February 2019.


The Crew 2’s Second Major Update Demolition Derby Launches December

Ubisoft has revealed more details about the upcoming Demolition Derby update coming to The Crew 2. The update will be free for owners of the game and will, like what the title suggests, add a Demolition Derby mode where players will compete for points while smashing rival vehicles and avoiding obstacles. The update will bring two new arenas for the said mode. Additionally, a new PvP mode will also come with the update where players can compete across various disciplines.


GRID Autosport Heading to Switch Next Year

Nintendo Switch users will get to experience Codemasters’ racing game GRID Autosport in the handheld console next year. GRID Autosport will be the first full racing simulator to be heading to the Nintendo Switch. The game first launched on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. The game will contain a “range of driving disciplines” including Touring Cars, Endurance, Drift, Open-Wheel and Street Races. Codemasters did not include an exact release window in their announcement.


Star Control: Origins Get Free Reinforcement DLC

Star Control Origins will be getting free DLC next week. The DLC is called Reinforcements and will bring with it a dozen new ships to pilot in the combat mini-game, Fleet Battles. The mini-game offers players the chance to assemble fleets of ships to take on AI opponents or other players online. Reinforcements bolsters the number of available ships to double the original amount. Star Control Origins is available via Steam, or DRM-free at GOG.


First Wasteland Game Getting Remastered

inXile Entertainment has announced that they are working on a remaster of the Wasteland game – the one that was released back in 1988. The studio has not given concrete details as to what exactly they’re doing for the remaster – not even a release date. Wasteland is a sci-fi open-world role-playing game with mechanics based from tabletop RPGs. Characters in the game had various statistics such as strength, intelligence, luck, speed, agility, dexterity, and charisma which also allowed them to use different weapons and skills.

NPD Report Shows Xbox One X “Performing Phenomenally”

Ever since Microsoft started measuring success based on Xbox Live members as opposed to sales, it became increasingly more difficult for external entities to assess how well the consoles stacked against their competition. However, Industry analysts NPD were able to record the Xbox One X’s performance. NDP employee Mat Piscatella reported that the Xbox One X is “performing phenomenally”. He also said “Xbox One sales show the highest growth of the three major hardware platforms in the U.S. this year.”


Bethesda Offers 500 Atoms as Apology to Fallout 76 Duffle Bag Controversy

Fallout posted a tweet apologizing and offering Fallout 76 players 500 atoms. The atoms were offered as compensation after players expressed dissatisfaction with the duffle bag made of nylon as opposed to canvas in the Power Armor Edition. Fans quickly tackled the post labeling the item a “sandwich bag”. Fallout fan Beat Beat Revolution tweeted “Bethesda this is really appalling for a big entry game title,” while other fans resorted to heckling the studio for its “greedy ploy”.


Overkill’s The Walking Dead Season 2 Has Started

Saddle up for a gory zombie adventure because Overkill’s The Walking Dead season 2 is here. The game gets a starter edition which includes the full season 1 and access to any free content in season 2. Season 2 introduces a brand new co-op experience, characters, captivating storylines, new weapons and many other surprises. Overkill’s The Walking Dead is currently available for PC on steam and it is set to be released for console early next year.


Walmart Canada Possibly Leaks Death Stranding Release

Death Stranding drops June 2019 according to Walmart Canada. This was ironically uncovered by a fan after The Game Awards Producer Geoff Keighley tweeted “There are a LOT of games we won’t be talking about at all until the show (All eyes on you @WalmartCanada),” poking fun at the fact that last year said retailer has leaked many announcements. Walmart then tweeted that the date spotted was a date for an order and not the date of the release. However, fans are undecided on whether it was a leak or misinterpretation.


Koei Tecmo Teases New Game

Koei Tecmo created a website teasing a game that is supposedly coming to PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on the 6th of December. As the word suggests there really isn’t much information about a tease but just enough to get players excited. On the website there appears a firey background, a text that reads, “The battle of fate begins,” and the date of the release. Koei Tecmo fans have been watching their clocks and calendars ever since the tease and will continue to do so until the 6th of December.


Anthem Will Allow Players to Terminate Chromatic Aberration Option

Moments after the Anthem live-stream show, Mark Darrah, who is the Executive Producer of Anthem, answered numerous questions from fans on twitter. His answers expressed that Anthem will not support cross-play at launch and that players will be able to terminate the chromatic aberration option and enemies will fight each other. Shortly thereafter, news surfaced that a new trailer for Anthem will be released next week at the Video Games Award 2018.


God Eater 3 Gets Free Update

Bandai Namco announced that its upcoming Japanese role-playing game God Eater 3 will receive many free updates after it launches in December. The company shared that there will be new customization options, the addition of new elements, very new and captivating storyline content and much more coming to the game. God Eater 3 will launch internationally on February 8, 2019, while Japan gets it first on December 13th.


Creature Collection Game Tem Tem Alpha Launches

Vintage Pokemon players are in for a nostalgic experience as TemTem launches into alpha. TemTem enters the market as a “massively multiplayer creature-collection adventure.” Developer Crema suggest if you had pledged at least $30 to their cause and have received your alpha key you can hop right in. If you are yet to receive the alpha key, report to the official twitter page for instructions. Temtem will be fully released on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC in May 2020.


Upcoming Battlefield 5 Patch Adjusts How Fast Players Die

DICE will be making some tweaks to Battlefield 5’s multiplayer based on players’ feedback. One of the major feedbacks the company received is that players have been dying too quickly in-game. In a post on Reddit, DICE explained they are trying to balance things between feedback they received from players who are happy how fast it is to kill opponents, and those who are not pleased with them dying too early. They added they will be making an experiment which will focus on Time to Kill first.


Fallout 76 December Update Patch Notes Released

Bethesda has released the full patch notes for Fallout 76’s upcoming December 4 patch. In a nutshell, Patch 1.0.2.0 will include bug fixes, rebalancing, improvements, and more. The update size is 3GB on consoles, while on PC it’s at 36MB. The update will specifically fix bugs like players encountering an infinite loading screen while singing out in consoles, and an issue where players can’t exit their power armor. Red Dead Online Now Open to Everyone

Players who own Red Dead Redemption 2 can now hop on Red Dead Online as the multiplayer feature has become available to everyone. Red Dead Online gives players access to activities such as fishing and treasure hunting, which you can now do with your friends. You’ll also have to keep an eye out on hostile players. There are also co-op based missions. All these and much more are accessible to players on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
