Destiny 2 Mini-Expansion Black Armory Coming December 4th

Bungie has announced Destiny 2’s first ever mini-expansion. Dubbed as Black Armory, the new content will focus on Ada-1, the vendor of the Black Armory who will give a new questline centered on reigniting the weapon forges lost during the Golden Age. A new activity called Lost Forges will line up with these quests, where up to 3 players can team up and defend Forges from waves of enemies. The mini-expansion will also come with new earnable weapons and mods. Black Armory launches on December 4th.


The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame to Release in 2019

The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame was announced by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and it will be launching for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on February 26, 2019. The Switch version will be launching on March 26, 2019. Emmet, Lucy, and LEGO Batman are making a return and will be joined by new characters like Rex Dangervest and General Mayhem plus about 100 characters from the two LEGO movies. There will be new worlds to explore as well as old ones to revisit and a revamp of the combat mechanics was made.


Battlefield 5 Lands on 4th Spot of Sales Charts on Its Launch Week

Battlefield 5 is not looking good in terms of sales. EA DICE’s new World War 2 shooter launched last November 20th and its launch week sales in the UK were down by a whopping 63% compared to that of Battlefield 1’s. This figure comes from Chart-Track via GamesIndusty. Some factors that may have caused this include the focus on digital, the extremely odd and confusing launch schedule, and the fact that other games were selling for up to 50% off because it was Black Friday week.


Rainbow Six Siege 2-Step Verification Coming to Ranked Play

A two-step verification will soon be mandatory for Rainbow Six Siege Ranked Play. Previously to entice players, Ubisoft gave out a free skin for Thermite to opt-in to the two-factor authentication. But come December 11th, it will be mandatory for North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Those playing in Asia-Pacific will have a later deadline. This two-factor authentication will allow a more “positive matchmaking experience” for PC players. This is not available for players on consoles.


Civilization 6 Gathering Storm’s First New Civilization is Hungary

After announcing Civilization 6’s next expansion, Firaxis has now officially revealed the first new civilization coming with the expansion. Hungary joins the fray, led by 15th century king Matthias Cornivus. Hungary can build districts and buildings faster on tiles across a river thanks to its Pearl of the Danube unique ability. It can also train the Huszar, a light cavalry unit that gains a combat bonus for each active alliance. Matthias also has The Raven King ability, which grants bonuses from levied city state units.


Gifting Will Soon Come to Fortnite Battle Royale

Fortnite is launching its gifting feature with its 6.31 update, but it will only be available for one week for now. All you have to do is go to the item shop, select an item and choose “Buy As a Gift”. You can even add a custom message with it. To do this make sure that the multi-factor authentication is enabled. Things that you have to consider are: you should have been friends for at least 48 hours, only 3 gifts can be given in 24 hours, gifts are not refundable, and you also have the choice to disable receiving gifts.


Bungie Ditches DLCs for Destiny 2

In the near future, Bungie plans to discard DLCs from Destiny 2: Forsaken. What they plan on doing is to have seasonal content changes that will happen weekly. This will be called an ‘annual pass’ where it will include three full seasons that is a year’s worth of content. Along with this, a login reset every Tuesday will happen for the needed changes in the game. Also, in addition, each season will give an increase to the maximum light level by 50 to have more room to grind.


Square Enix Shows Off The Last Remnant Remastered Gameplay in New Trailer

Square Enix has released a new trailer for upcoming remaster of The Last Remnant. The trailer shows off some cinematic moments, but fans will mostly be excited to see the gameplay parts which show off the game’s combat system. The game first launched on the Xbox 360 in 2008 but was marred with technical issues and criticized for its unimpressive textures. The remaster will feature enhanced graphics and an improved game engine. It is set to launch on December 4th.


2 New DLC Packs Heading to Guacamelee! 2 This Year

DrinkBox Studios announced that Guacamelee! 2 is getting two new DLC packs which are launching very soon. The first one is called “Three Enemigos” Character pack and it will allow players to play as one of the villains for the whole game. You can choose from El Muñeco, Uay Pek, and Jaguar Javier. The second pack is called “The Proving Grounds” Challenge Pack. This will have a floating temple with 15 challenges which can unlock 5 trainers. The 1st DLC rolls out tomorrow and the 2nd on December 7th.


Warhammer Quest 2: The End Times Coming to PC

Turn-based strategy game Warhammer Quest 2: The End Times is coming to Steam, and it is slated to be released January 2019. Warhammer Quest 2: The End Times lets players lead a band of warriors into dungeons as they fight for wealth and glory. The game gives players access to 12 different Hero Classes, three Campaigns, and unique enemies and challenges. Gameplay includes looting, boss battles, and of course a lot of strategizing.


Big Crown: Showdown to Launch Next Month

Competitive multiplayer brawler Big Crown: Showdown will be launching on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on December 14th! The game features a 4-player local and online multiplayer combat which puts players against each other as each of them battles for the crown. Matches are set in over 3 wacky medieval worlds and 15 crazy courses. Big Crown: Showdown promises action-packed, laugh-out-loud gaming experience that players can enjoy with friends and family.

Players May Lose Progress in Red Dead Online Beta

Rockstar Games issued a statement advising Red Dead Online Beta players to not get attached to any progress made during the testing period. Rockstar outlined the purpose of a beta release is to gather information with which they can create a “complete, fun and fully-functional experience”. Rockstar expressed that they hope all player progress can be salvaged, but there is always the chance they may need to implement rank or other stat resets in case of issues.


Black Ops 4 Update Gets Bowie Knife and Two New Maps

Treyarch Studios released their latest update to Call of Duty: Balck Ops 4. The update included two new multiplayer maps labeled “Seaside Sunset” and “Firing Range Night”. A Bowie Knife is now available for Blackout players and is attainable through equipment stashes and Zombie-related drops. Treyarch Studios issued a PS4 exclusive update, which details the addition of a Safeguard playlist in Multiplayer. The patch also includes stability updates and fixes to the Zombie mode.


Ancient Frontier: Steel Shadows Open Beta Available Now

Ancient Frontier: Steel Shadows’ free Beta went live as of November 24th. The Ancient Frontier: Steel Shadows beta is available via Steam. The game is described as a standalone RPG set in the epic universe of Ancient Frontier. Fair Weather Studios is inviting players to take part in the game’s beta and supply feedback on their forums. The beta ends on December 6, 2018.


GTA Online Offering Double Money and More During Event Week

Rockstar Games has announced another Event week in Grand Theft Auto Online. This week, players can earn double GTA$ on Transform races and RP bonuses. Players may also earn an additional 25% once they have completed their special Cargo Deliveries in GTA Online. The event also awards players the ability to save up to 40% on in-game items. King of Fighters 14 Gets New Patch

SNK is continuing its support for King of Fighters 14, as the game is reportedly getting a new patch. Details about the content of the patch is not available at this time, but SNK said it will be released by the end of this year, and that it will mostly focus on balance changes for its huge roster of fighters. SNK also expressed its support for the King of Fighters 14 online and offline tournament scene.


New Overwatch Hero Ashe Now Playable in Competitive Mode

New Overwatch hero Ashe debuted in the game’s PTR back in November 13th, and finally she is now available in competitive play. Blizzard let her spend some time in the PTR before allowing her to be playable in competitive mode in order for them to make sure they can fix any issues right away in case they need to. During her stint at the PTR, she has proven to be a favorite thanks to her sidekick BoB who’s also her ultimate.


Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden Introduces New Character

Developer The Bearded Ladies Consulting has introduced a new character for its upcoming XCOM-inspired tactical game Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden, and it’s a furry one. The new character is named Farrow, and she’s a fox. She’s an assassin who’s got stealth as her number one skill. She will be fighting alongside Dux the duck and Bormin the boar which were the two previously introduced characters. Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden launches December 4th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.


Obi-Wan Has Arrived in Star Wars Battlefront 2

Star Wars Battlefront 2’s Geonosis update is now live, bringing Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi to the game! His abilities are All-Out Push, Defensive Rush and Restricted Mind Trick. He also has 1 alternative appearance which has to be unlocked. This update also comes with the new planet, Geonosis. New playable land vehicles are available as well, and these are: STAP, BARC Speeder, and AT-TE. The full patch notes for the Geonosis update is available in the Star Wars Battlefront 2 blog.


Breach Enters Steam Early Access in January

Developer QC Games has announced that its online co-op action-RPG Breach is heading to Steam Early Access in January. The studio is also planning to fully launch the game later in 2019. Breach features a fluid class system that let players do a lot of customization and swapping as they try to defeat the enemy Veil Demon and its army of creatures who are trying to infiltrate Earth. An alpha for the game is planned at an undisclosed date, and you may try and sign up for it through the game’s website.


Artifact Live Now on Steam

Valve’s Dota 2 fantasy card battler Artifact is live now on Steam. Also released is the Artifact Marketplace, which is where players can sell and buy cards from other players. Alongside the release of the game is also the much-awaited release of “Call to Arms,” a comic which sets the stage for a series of events that will transform Dota’s world. The comic also has the same name as the game’s first card set. More cards are going to be added in the future. The base game costs 20 Dollars on Steam.


World of Warcraft Event Turns Players Into Corgis

World of Warcraft’s 14th anniversary event will be ending soon, and if you’ve been missing all the fun, this is your last chance to hop in! Players in the game are turning into corgis, thanks to the most powerful artefact in the game: goggles! Get this and other celebration-exclusive items before the event closes Friday, November 30th, at 10AM server time.
