New Dota 2 Hero Snapfire Announced

Valve announced a new hero for Dota 2 named Snapfire, an elderly goblin who’s riding a giant lizard, and apparently likes baking cookies and carries a shotgun. The announcement took place during The Invitational. According to Valve, Snapfire will be added through a future update. They are also yet to share concrete details about her, but for now what we know is that she gives cookies to other characters, her lizard spews out molten lava, and that she uses her shotgun and her saddle’s built-in guns to fire at her enemies.


Black Ops 4 Reaver Nerfed

Treyarch nerfs the Reaver C86 crossbow, which is considered one of the most overpowered weapons in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. The weapon was added back in July, and due to its high fire rate and magazine size, it’s become one of the most powerful weapons in the game. Players can get it in loot boxes, and this is particularly unfair for those who were not able to get it. Treyarch has thankfully nerfed it again, so its hip-fire accuracy has been reduced, and fire speed has been lowered.


Warhammer 40K Mechanicus Coming to Consoles

Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus is currently available on PC, and players on console can finally experience the turn-based strategy game as it is set to arrive on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch next year. The announcement mentioned Q1 2020 as its release window. It will also be launching a special Omnissiah Edition content which includes its soundtrack, ‘Deus Ex Mechanicus’ short story, digital artbook, and the Arc Scourge melee weapon.


SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated Showcased at Gamescom

THQ Nordic has unveiled the first in-depth gameplay for the remake SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated at Gamescom 2019. The gameplay showed hos SpongeBob is controlled, as well as how he makes his way across the map, getting combos, running away from enemies, and more. The video also featured a showdown with King Jellyfish. The game is still in development, and is planned for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. No release date has been announced at this time.


Gears 5 Horde Gameplay Shows Sarah Connor’s Skills

The first Gears 5 Horde gameplay has been showcased at Gamescom 2019. The showcase highlighted Terminator: Dark Fate’s Sarah Connor, and featured her different skills. The livestream showed her Ultimate ability called Heavy Hitter which can knock back and stun her enemies. Sarah Connor will be part of the game’s The Terminator: Dark Fate Character Pack that will be available starting November 1st.


Dragon Quest 11 Switch Draconian Quest Features Toggle Options

Nintendo has launched a demo for Dragon Quest 11 on the Nintendo Switch, and those who were able to try the game found out that its Draconian Quest has optional toggles. The options are meant to make the game more challenging, and some of them include: No Shopping, No Armour, Reduced Experience from Easy Fights, and even having the NPCs lie. Dragon Quest 11 will be available starting September 27th on Switch.


Decay of Logos Coming Out Later This Month

Role-playing game Decay of Logos will be launching later this month. The game will be launching first on PlayStation 4 on August 27th, and Switch will follow on August 29th. It will then become available on Steam and Xbox One on August 30th. Decay of Logos tells the story of a girl who’s out to seek revenge against those who destroyed her village. the game features open-world exploration, combat using swords and magic, and a lot more.


Elite Dangerous Fleet Carrier Docks Up to 16 Ships

Frontier has revealed more details on the new Personal Fleet Carriers coming to Elite: Dangerous during Gamecom. The fleet carrier will be able to carry up to 16 ships — 8 large ships, four medium ships, and four small ships. It will also be able to carry other players’ ships if the owner gives permission. Aside from carrying ships, the Personal Fleet Carrier will also allow players to modify their gear and repair and refuel their docked ships. The Carrier will become available in December.


Hades Ends Epic Games Store Exclusivity in December

Rogue-like game Hades will be ending its Epic Games Store exclusivity and will become available on Steam starting December 10, 2019. The game has been an Epic Games exclusive game since it launched in early access in December of last year. Hades was developed by Supergiant Games, the same company that developed Bastion and Pyre.


Clone Commandos Coming to Battlefront 2

Clone Commandos will be coming to Star Wars Battlefront 2 next month, EA and DICE announced back at Gamescom. The Clone Commando will be coming with the DC-17m repeater as well as with its grenade launcher. It will also have two new abilities: Battle Focus which adds damage protection, and a repulsor blast that stuns enemies. Clone Commandos are just among the additions for September. Minecraft Java Brings Bees to the Game

Minecraft has received its 1.15 Java Edition update, and it adds bees and more to the game. The bees are added as one of the neutral mobs in the game. According to Mojang, bees will only hurt players in the game if they hurt them. There are also bee nests where players can get honey and turn them into sugar using the new honey bottle item. The bees also love flowers and of course they gather pollen. If they do sting players, they die but they won’t drop anything.


Persona Series Sells Over 10million Copies

Atlus is pleased to announce that its illustrious Persona series has exceeded 10 million sales. The series’ first entry, Revelations: Persona launched in September of 1996 and did so well that fans requested more. The developer adhered to the requests and 6 entries later they are celebrating this impressive milestone. Persona 5 had the best performance of the lot and sits among the top ten best selling games on PlayStation 4 with well over 2.7 million copies sold.


OG Wins Dota 2 International Twice and Over $15m

OG has become champions of the ninth Dota International championship as well as recipients of 15 million pounds in prize money. What makes this feat even more impressive is the team became the first team and first individual players to win The International twice. The victory was followed by the routine short speeches in which the victors expressed glee and gratitude to the supporters. The next Dota 2 International, which is TI10, will take place in Stockholm, Sweden in 2020.


Battlefield V Close Combat mode Canceled

DICE has cancelled Battlefield V’s close combat mode in an effort to increase the chances of reaching other goals on time. Since release, the developer has been hard at work introducing an impressive stream of content, each with their own issues and rooms for improvement. According to the developers, this cancellation serves as a needed step-back so they can refocus and invest in improving features that are directly related to providing the intended Battlefield experience.


Warriors Orochi 4 Teased and Reveal Date Announced

Koei Tecmo Games and Omega Force collaboratively opened a new teaser site hinting at a New Warriors Orochi Game that will be fully revealed on August 29. The site offers just enough information to get viewers and potential players hyped about things to come. On the website, a youtube video serves as the sole source of content and it showcases a few of the characters that will be featured in the game and August 29. Fans are surely excited and will anxiously anticipate the full game reveal.


Arnold Schwarzenegger Will Not Be Voicing the T-800 In MK11

The T-800 from Terminator will not be voiced by Arnold Schwarzenegger in Mortal Kombat 11. This is in no way unsurprising as the movie star had openly expressed disregard for violence in video games. However, it will be a huge blow for some because even though voice impersonators are a dime a dozen it is just not the original. In any case, it is hard to imagine NetherRealm Studios struggling to find a voice actor that can do the iconic character justice. The T-800 DLC will be released on October 8, 2019.


Sony Gives Away Free Copies of Astro Bot

It appears Sony is in a rather charitable mood as the company has sent some PS4 players a copy of Astro Bot entirely free of cost. Sea of Thieves Gets Banjos

Rare has added banjos to the musical mix in Sea Of Thieves. Jet Kave Adventure Release Date Announced and Trailer Released

7Leveles has announced the release date for its Jet-fueled 2.5D platformer game, Jet Kave Adventure. The developer has labelled September 17, 2019, as the launch date for the title on the Nintendo Switch. With the announcement also came a gameplay trailer that showcased the beautifully illustrated environment as well as some of the puzzles and traversal techniques the jetpack enables tribe chief, Kave to perform. Next month, many will finally begin their quest to save the whole island and lead their tribe.


Farmer’s Dynasty Gets New Trailer and Release Date Announced

November 7, 2019, marks the day Farmer’s Dynasty will be available for PC, Xbox One, PS4. As you may have guessed, it is a classical farming simulation game. However, the developer promises an entirely new farming simulation experience by combining life simulation with some unique RPG elements. The game largely involves social interactions with other villagers at village events and more. Some interactions could possibly result in romantic relationships and family life in the countryside.


Children of Morta Release Date Announced and Receives New Trailer

11 bit studios and developer Dead Mage have finally announced the highly-anticipated roguelike RPG, Children of Morta will be released on September 3, 2019, for PC. The release date announcement was accompanied by a brand-new trailer. The video provided viewers with a base understanding of the game’s lore as well as a view of some character models and the roguelike themed environment. The Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 versions of the game will be released a bit later on October 15, 2019.


Necronator: Dead Wrong Coming to PC

Toge Productions has merged forces with publisher Modern Wolf in an effort to bring Necronator: Dead Wrong to PC through Steam. The comedic lane defence real-time-strategy game offers a unique deck-building element that sets it apart from other games in the genre.
