Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 3 Will Not Be at E3 2019

According to a tweet published by Shaun Laker who is the live producer on Garden Warfare 2, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 3 will not be at E3. Surely, this news is disappointing for fans of the popular franchise but it is good that the expectations are lowered beforehand. The tweet read “While we won’t be at EA Play this year, the team is hard at work making our next PvZ Shooter great”. The game is expected to drop this year and hopefully, it will be as great as the producer proclaims.


Fortnite Storm Flip Not Working As It Should

Epic introduced a new Item to Fornite called the Storm Flip and it is not working out as well as professed. For those who don’t already know, the Storm Flip item creates a storm area where there is none and creates a safe area where there is a storm as the name suggests. It is a very interesting mechanic, effective especially in the late game should it work. However, the qualm players are having is that it is hard to identify the areas affected by area which makes the item a detriment in its current state.


Baldur’s Gate 3 Might Now Be Released This Year

Baldur’s Gate III was one of the biggest surprises of Google’s pre-E3 Stadia Connect presentation but unfortunately, a 2019 releases date seems unlikely. Larian Studios said it is going to take all the time required to make this game ” really, really good” which still does not say when the title will be dropping but it does cast doubt. The masses assumed the game would be a launch title for Stadia, which launches this November. This is still possible but hopes have certainly lowered.


New Ninja Theory Multiplayer Game Leaked

A trailer dubbed “confidential” was recently leaked bearing content from Ninja Theory Bleeding Edge. According to the short video, Bleeding Edge is a 4v4 online melee combat game. It was also revealed that a technical alpha is coming on June 27, 2019. The trailer offers brief glimpses at gameplay and showcases the playable roster of characters. Previously, the developers created exclusively single-player titles so it will be interesting to see them cater to a multiplayer audience.


More Clone Wars Coming to Star Wars Battlefront 2

DICE, Motive Studios, and Criterion have announced that Star Wars: Battlefront II will be receiving even more Clone Wars Content soon. According to the developers, the game will see the return of Capital Supremacy to the Naboo map, as well as new reinforcements. There will also be the TX-130 for the Galactic Republic and purchasable new appearances which also have detailed backgrounds. Players can expect this Clone Wars Content on June 26, 2019.


Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair Announced

Team17 and Playtonic Games have officially announced that Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is underway. The developers have promised that they will be revealing much more regarding the title during E3 2019. With the announcement also came a short gameplay trailer which illustrates the new perspective and gameplay design. Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair has no precise release date attached but it is expected to drop this year for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PS4, and PC.


Fallout 76 Players Might Get Their Collector’s Bags Soon

Bethesda recently tweeted that it will be sending out replacement bags to the Collector’s Bags players were promised last year. Approximately 7 months ago there was a big controversy with regards to the Fallout 76’s community and Fallout 76’s Collector’s Bags. There was a Power Armor edition of Fallout 76 which was supposed to come with a canvas bag, but players got nylon bags instead. The players were very displeased with the quality of the bags so it is nice to see the developers right that wrong.


Pathologic 2 Gets More Difficulty Options in Newest Update

Pathologic 2’s most recent update comes bearing a host of difficulty options as per the players’ request. One of the main lures of the game is the unforgivingly difficult nature of the gameplay. Though this applies to a niche set of hardcore gamers, it was proving to be too challenging for most. The changes in the last patch are all in an effort to make the game more accessible to players of varying skill capacity. Now there is an intended difficulty checkbox as well as difficulty level sliders available to all players.


Persona 5: Royal Will Be a PS4 Exclusive Game

Bad news for Persona fans who don’t play on PS4: Atlus has announced that they currently have no plans of bringing Persona 5 Royal to other platforms other than the PlayStation 4. On an official Q&A, the developers also revealed that there will not be an option to carry over savegames, but players will get a “bonus” during the early parts of the game. The Japanese version of the game requires players to re-purchase previously bought DLC but only for a very small fee. Retailer bonuses are also planned for the game.


Satisfactory Sells Over 500,000 in the Epic Store

Coffee Stain community manager Jace Varlet recently revealed that Satisfactory has sold over half a million copies since it launched in Early Access back in March. Varlet made the announcement through a new video after repeatedly joking on Twitter that the game had sold very poorly. Satisfactory previously garnered criticism over its exclusivity deal with Epic Games, but Varlet now reports that the game has enjoyed the “best launch ever” in the history of the developer and that is has exceeded all of their expectations.


Wing of Darkness to Launch by the End of This Year

Developer Production Exabilities has revealed that their 3D mecha shooter, Wing of Darkness, will be launching before the year is over. Producer Hifumi Nara told Famitsu of the planned release window at BitSummit 7 Spirits in Kyoto where the game was playable. The game is powered by Unreal Engine 4 and will feature story events in-between missions featuring protagonist Klara Ernst and comrade Erika Loerzer. The game is set to release on both PC and PS4 and will feature support for Japanese and English at launch.


Cyberpunk 2077 Reveals Keanu Reeves in New Trailer

A new Cyberpunk 2077 trailer has been shared by CD Projekt Red and it featured a major celebrity: Keanu Reeves. The trailer feels like a mini-movie set in Northern California and Night City with a deal gone wrong and then Reeves appears in the end. The game’s release date has also been revealed which is on April 16, 2020. Cyberpunk 2077 is actually an adaptation of Cyberpunk 2020 which is a 31-year-old pen-and-paper role-playing game. We will know more about Cyberpunk 2077 at E3 2019.


Fallout 76 Has Battle Royale

Fallout 76 has jumped into the battle royale bandwagon! This has been announced by Bethesda during their E3 2019 briefing. The mode is called Nuclear Winter and it is a 52-player battle royale and it is for free. This mode will be available as a free trial through a “sneak peek” event which is happening now up until the 17th. As with a true battle royale style, there should only be one man standing, but the Fallout 76 version adds nukes to the game. More information will be shared during E3 2019.


Final Fantasy 7 Remake Reveals Official Release Date

The release date of PlayStation 4’s Final Fantasy 7 Remake has been officially announced by Square Enix. The game will be launching worldwide on March 3, 2019. The announcement was made during a Final Fantasy concert. Also, Square Enix announced that they will be having a separate press conference ahead of E3. The trailer looks great and it features the Bombing Mission at the opening of the original Final Fantasy 7. We get to see Cloud, Barret and a lot of familiar faces.


Gears 5 Reveals Map Editor and New Content

During the Gears 5 presentation, The Coalition revealed that the game will have a built-in Map Editor. The editor will be available for the new mode which had also been revealed during the presentation which is a three-player co-op mode called Escape. Players are able to build their own maps and are able to upload them as well as play the maps that the community has made. More of Gears 5 will be revealed at E3. Gear5 will be launching on September 10 and 4 days earlier for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.


The Outer Worlds by Obsidian Entertainment Launch Date Revealed

The launch date of Obsidian Entertainment’s sci-fi FPS-RPG The Outer Worlds has been announced by Microsoft. The game will be launching on October 25th available on the Epic Games Store and Microsoft’s Xshop. The game’s Steam release will be in 2020. A new trailer has been shared for E3 2019 and it features some of the game’s locations, characters and a bit of gameplay. Some of the game’s weapons had also been shown, one looks like a shrink gun. We will know more during E3 2019.


Phantasy Star Online 2 Launch Date for North America Announced

Phantasy Star Online 2 is finally launching outside Japan, however, some countries are not in the list for the international release. Phantasy Star Online 2 first launched in Japan in 2012. The North Americal launch will be by Spring 2020, but no announcements yet for a Europe, Middle East, and Africa launch. Sega Europe posted an apologetic tweet about the situation and promises that they will keep everybody updated if there will be developments and progress in the game’s accessibility.


RPG Time: The Legend of Wright to Launch Next Year

During Microsoft’s E3 2019 showcase, a new hand-drawn RPG from Japanese studio Desk Works had been shown. The game is called RPG Time: The Legend of Wright. The game is actually set inside a notebook where we get to help the protagonist go through different environments and conquer different obstacles and discover treasure. There will also be multiple puzzles to solve along the way. The game will launch on PC, Xbox One and mobile by sometime next year. We will get to know more on E3 2019.


State of Decay 2’s Heartland Expansion is Out Now

Open-world zombie survival game, State of Decay 2 has launched its biggest expansion as of yet, announced by Microsoft Game Studios. The expansion is called State of Decay 2: Heartland and it is a story-based expansion that lets players follow the story of two survivors going through Trumbull Valley which is the original setting of the first State of Decay game. This comes with new weapons and enemies which will be available to Game Pass subscribers immediately.


Elden Ring Officially Unveiled at Microsoft’s E3 Presentation

During Microsoft’s E3 press conference, Hidetaka Miyazaki has unveiled Elden Ring, a game he worked on in collaboration with George R.R. Martin. In an interview, Miyazaki revealed that Elden Ring is a “dark fantasy action RPG” that’s “full of things [they] weren’t able to do in the Dark Souls series.” As you may have guessed, this title will be challenging just like other FROM titles. Elden Ring is set to launch for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. A release date is yet to be announced.


Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Announced, Will Focus on Goku

Dragon Ball Game: Project Z now has an official title! The game is officially called Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, and it will focus on Goku’s story. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is an action RPG which follows Goku’s story until the point he turns into Super Saiyan and defeats Frieza. At this time, it is not clear whether the game will also add the Cell and Buu sagas. The game’s battle system is reminiscent of Dragon Ball Xenoverse titles. It will be available in early 2020 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.


GhostWire: Tokyo Announced at E3 2019

Tango Gameworks, the team behind The Evil Within, has unveiled its new horror game at Bethesda’s 2019 E3 press conference. The title is called GhostWire Tokyo, and it was presented by Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami. This action-adventure game will bring players to Tokyo where some of the city’s population have strangely disappeared. Players will be traveling all throughout the city while avoiding evil spirits, and possibly getting help from good ones. A potential release date for the game has not been announced yet.
