Apex Legends’ Year One Roadmap Revealed

The year one road map for Apex Legends has been shared and it comes with new legends, battle passes, and more. The game launched very well amassing one million unique players within just 24 hours of its launch. Because of this, EA and Respawn released a deep dive trailer for the game and it shared the roadmap for it. Battle Passes will be available in March, June, September, and December. There will also be new legends, loot, as well as new weapons. The Battle Pass will have exclusive cosmetic items only.


Latest Forza Horizon 4 Patch Increases Storage Limit

A new patch has been recently released for Forza Horizon 4, and it increases storage in the game. This is one of the smaller patches that players will be getting between the major updates. It may be a small patch, but it comes with more storage that allows you to store 750 cars in your car garage. The number of designs that can be kept is now 500 same as with the vinyl groups and tuning setups. Storage for photos has also increased, and players can now store up to 150 pictures.


Beacon Comes to Steam Early Access This Month

Monothetic’s Beacon will be coming to Steam Early Access on February 27th and it is available for 19,99€. If you make your purchase on launch week you will get a 10% discount. Beacon will have you playing as Feja Akiyama, a space privateer who is looking for the distress beacon of her ship that crashed. As you go on searching, you will get to find some weapons as well as items that will be useful for your journey. You will also need to collect the DNA of the enemies that you have defeated.


New Plants Vs. Zombies Shooter Confirmed

EA has announced that a new Plants Vs. Zombies title is on the way. EA CFO Blake Jorgensen announced this during a fiscal earnings call. It was not clear, however, whether this new PvZ game is a shooter under the “Garden Warfare” brand, or an entirely new game set in the Plants Vs. Zombies universe. On the other hand, it is confirmed that the game will be available on PC and consoles. Rumors of Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 3 emerged in March last year, but nothing is confirmed at this time.


Battlefield 5 Did Not Meet EA’s Sales Expectations

CEO Andrew Wilson announced during EA’s fiscal earnings that Battlefield 5 was not able to meet their sales expectations. Wilson said the game’s underperformance is due to several factors like the month-long delay in the game’s release which pushed the game into releasing into a busier month. Plus the prioritization of the single-player campaign over the battle royale mode is another reason. The game did sell 7.3 million, but is short 1 million from the expected sales.


Space War Arena Launches on Switch Next Week

Space War Arena is launching exclusively on the Nintendo Switch next week. This real-time strategy action game will be available starting February 14th. Space War Arena pays homage to the original Spacewar released in the 1960’s. Players will expect epic space battles with deep strategic elements. There’s also deck building with over 30 types of units. The game also offers solo campaign that pits players “against a variety of configurations and scenarios.”


Sea of Thieves Players Can Invite 3 Friends to Play for Free for a Limited Time

Sea of Thieves has a new promotion where players will be able to invite their friends to play the game for free. This promotion will start on February 6th and will run up until the 13th. This is available for the game on PC and Xbox One. An Xbox One Game Pass subscription is needed. The friends that will receive the codes will be able to download the game but an Xbox Live membership is needed. Along with this promotion is a 35% off discount for the game which will be available up until February 27th only.


Kabal, D’Vorah Join Mortal Kobat 11’s Roster

Two characters are returning and will be joining Mortal Kombat 11’s roster. First is Kabal who first appeared in the 1995 game Mortal Kombat 3. He skipped Mortal Kombat X, which is the most recent game released in the franchise. Kabal will come with his signature dual hooked blades as well as his popular moves like the Raging Flash and Buzzsaw. The next one is the insectoid fighter D’vorah from Mortal Kombat X. Both of them will be available once the game launches on April 23rd.


More Titanfall Will Be Coming This Year, According to Respawn

After Respawn surprised the gaming world with the launch of its battle royale Apex Legends, fans have been asking whether Titanfall is really not going to happen this year. The developer said that yes, Titanfall 3 is not in the works, however, a premium Titanfall game will be launching within this year, according to EA CEO Andrew Wilson. Wilson did not go into detail about this, so we’ll have to stay tuned as they reveal more details.


Phoenix Point Delayed

Phoenix Point, the X-com-like strategy game from Julian Gollop, will be delayed. Creative director Julian Gollop said that they need the extra time to test and polish the gameplay “much more extensively.” He added that he understands some people may be disappointed with the delay, and he was really sorry about it. The game will now be released sometime in September this year.


HITMAN: The Complete First Season is Free with PS Plus

IO Interactive has announced that Hitman: The Complete First Season will be free for PlayStation Plus members for the month of February! The Complete First Season features all the locations in Season One, as well as episodes “from the Prologue, Paris, Sapienza, Marrakesh, Bangkok, Colorado, and Hokkaido.” This collection also includes all Challenges, Opportunities, Escalation Contracts, and Featured Contracts. PS Plus players will also get access to all future content updates including new Elusive Targets.


EA Expects Anthem Sales to Reach 6 Million Copies in 6 Weeks

EA’s projection indicates that Anthem is on course to sell 6 million copies within 6 weeks. The developers are evidently pleased with the game’s reception as the reviews have been overwhelmingly positive. CEO Andrew Wilson said, “We think there is a great opportunity not just this year for Anthem, but that should sell well for a long period of time as we add more content through the live service plan.” Anthem is expected to be released on February 22 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.


Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to be Showcased Soon

EA has promised that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is exceptional, and will be brandished soon. EA’s COO Blake Jorgensen is the source of this news. He also said he has already played about 20 minutes of the game and was very much pleased with his experience. He labels it a journey into the iconic sci-fi universe. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be released for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC later this year. Not much else has been said about the title but the fans and the COO are excited alike.


The Outer Worlds Gets Physical Release

Obsidian Entertainment’s action-RPG The Outer Worlds has been officially confirmed to be coming to retail for $60. Attaching a price tag to the game suggests that we can expect a full-priced release. The game became one of the most anticipated games of this year after it was reveled at The Game Awards. The publishers have not yet released an official release date but do know that the game will be arriving in 2019. The Outer Worlds will be getting a physical release across PS4, Xbox One, and PC.


Crackdown 3 Achievements List Revealed

If you venture over to Xbox Wire, you will notice that Microsoft has officially unveiled the complete list of achievements that you will be able to earn while playing Crackdown 3. Said achievements are divided into two categories between Campaign and Wrecking Zone. While viewing the list, be mindful that some of its content may contain spoilers if you are to do a simple process of deduction. Crackdown 3 is on course to be released for Xbox One and PC on February 15, 2019.


Anno 1800’s Second Beta Happens in April

Blue Byte’s Anno 1800 will be having an open beta from April 12-14, 2019 on PC and everyone is invited. The developers are encouraging players who were undecided about grabbing a copy to try the city-building, real-time strategy game on the mentioned dates. For access to the open beta, all that is required is for you to download the client instead of signing up. The developers promised to give more information regarding the open beta soon. Anno 1800 will release on April 16, 2019.


The Blind Prophet’s Kickstarter Campaign Now Fully Funded

ARS GOETIA’s point and click narrative, adventure game The Blind Prophet, has now far surpassed its goal in its successful Kickstarter Campaign. The goal was met due to the contributions of over 400 backers who decided to support the game after testing a free demo version. The studio outlined that they intend to meet as many goals as possible, the next one being translating the game to as many languages as possible. The Blind Prophet will be released on PC and MAC on November 20, 2019.


Red Dead Redemption 2 Sold Really Well According to Take-Two

Take-Two Interactive has reported that Red Dead 2 has sold well over 23 million units worldwide. The game has been the talk of the town for months so it was expected to be well received but 23 million is an incredible feat for any title to accomplish. Take-Two Interactive also shared that its revenue shot up to 1.2 billion and it is largely due to the action-adventure game’s contribution. Red Dead 2 has also outsold its predecessor by a comfortable margin. The game is available for the PS4 and Xbox One.


Dangerous Driving Showcases New Screens Featuring Tracks and Crashes

ex-Criterion Games recently released some images brandishing Dangerous Driving’s new track as well as some of the steel crushing crashes in the game. The devs have set about polishing and ironing out any possible bugs. Three Fields has sent an ‘Optional’ submission to Microsoft who then evaluates the game from their perspective. Square Enix announced that the next Shadow of the Tomb Raider DLC, named The Price of Survival, will launch on February 12, 2019. In the game you must survive in the deadliest place on earth, become one with the jungle and discover tombs. On your adventure you will discover a hidden city that houses the biggest hub space ever found in a Tomb Raider game. Explore said city to uncover valuable shrouded secrets. Shadow of the Tomb Raider is currently available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.


Rainbow Six Siege Invitational 2019 Has 1 Million Dollar Prize Pool

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege 2019 Invitational has been tagged with a one million dollar prize pool. The top sixteen Rainbow Six Siege teams around the world will compete for the title of World Champion in the Six Invitational. This is the third year of the event and it is set out to be a special one. The event is expected to bring together fans, professional players, developers and content creators. The Invitational will span from February 11th to 17.


LEGO Marvel Collection Coming Soon

Warner Bros. has announced that LEGO Marvel Collection is coming soon. As the name suggests LEGO Marvel Collection is a collection of LEGO Marvel games. The games included in the collection are LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 and LEGO Marvel’s Avengers. The collection also comes with all the previously released DLC packs including the Black Panther. LEGO Marvel Collection is scheduled to be available on March 12, 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
