Four of Six Characters Included in FighterZ Pass 2 Revealed

Dragon Ball FighterZ is poised to consist of six new characters in its FighterZ Pass 2, four of which have just been unveiled. Bandai Namco posted a tweet containing a trailer which showed the new characters, Jiren and Videl. Dragon Ball Super’s Broly, and Gogeta are set to be included at a later date in the near future. Purchase the FighterZ Pass 2 to acquire said characters on January 31, 2019. The remaining 2 characters of the 6 are yet to be announced.


Fallout 76 Gets PvE Content This March

Bethesda’s community manager has announced that Fallout 76 will be is getting PvE content in March accompanied by PvP Survival mode. This news is in response to fans who have gone to Reddit expressing that the developers should focus more on end game PvE content. When the update drops you will have the choice of equipping your existing character or creating a new one. One would advise that players do the latter as anything that happens to the character in one mode will persist into another mode.


Inmost Announced for PC and Switch

Hidden Layer Games’s pixelated puzzle-platformer Inmost will be coming to both PC and the Nintendo Switch in 2019. The news came with an announcement trailer which shows some clips of the gameplay. Get ready to indulge in a side-scrolling adventure that tells a tale across three different characters. Each character comes with its own set of unique abilities and play-style. Go and explore every nook and cranny of each level as the game is teeming with secret passages.


Beat Saber’s First Music Pack Delayed

Beat Games has announced via Beat Saber’s official Twitter account that the first Music Pack for the game is still being developed. The message expressed that the team is in need of more time to complete it before they can officially release it into the gaming world. This update was made in response to some criticism from fans. The fans complained that they had grown weary of hearing the existing song lineup which is 13 on PC and 18 on PSVR. Beat Saber is currently available on Steam and PlayStation VR.


Ring of Elysium is the Only Battle Royale Game That Saw Increase in Steam Player Base

GitHyp’s Study has revealed that of all the battle royale games on steam, Ring of Elysium is the only one that saw any growth in its player-base. This is really good news for developers Aurora Studio because this means they have made steps forward while every other game has either regressed or remained stagnant. This might come as a shocker to some but not the fans who they have retained and gained after a very good stream of content updates. Ring of Elysium has certainly has taken steps in the right direction.


Splatoon 2 Adds Old Weapons in Its Upcoming Update

Fans of Splatoon 2 are in for a rather nostalgic experience as Nintendo announces that the old weapons are coming to the game. Some of the weapons included are: Aerospray PG, N-ZAP ’83, Grim Range Blaster, Cherry H-3 Nozzlenose, Soda Slosher and the Heavy Splatling Remix. The weapons might be from days of old but they are all getting new specials. The developers have not divulged any information regarding an official release date. Splatoon 2 is a Nintendo Switch exclusive game.


Overwatch Price on PC Has Permanently Dropped

Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch has received a permanent reduction in cost. Now players who were eyeing the title but were discouraged by the previous price-tag will have a greater incentive to purchase it. The game has proven to have much longevity as after three years it has remained highly watched and played by millions of fans. One can argue that the game has managed to retain its player-base due to the frequent quality and content updates. The title is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.


First Trailer for Dragon Ball Z Action-RPG Revealed

Bandai Namco shared the first trailer for its new Dragon Ball Z action RPG. Jump Force Announces New Beta

Bandai Namco’s action fighting game, Jump Force will be receiving a new beta. So far the company has scheduled three sessions of Jump Force action. The first session will be on January 29th, the second on the 30th, and the third will be held on February 2nd for the PS4 and Xbox One. The official game is set to be released on the 15th of February for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.


Resident Evil 2 Debuts at Number 1 in the UK Charts

Capcom’s prolific form persists as their Survival Horror game, Resident Evil 2 Remake debuts atop the UK charts. This is the most pronounced display by the title but it is certainly not uncharted territory. Their second biggest debut was back in 2017 when the studio had released Resident Evil 7. Dota 2’s Mars to Launch in February or March

Valve Corporation’s Dota 2 will be receiving its new character Mars, either late February or March of this year. Mars was first teased back at The International 2018. At the time, the players were told to expect the hero to arrive this winter. While players hoped that they would be getting the character much earlier in the winter season there is still time left before the promise can be considered broken. There is not much information about the Mars in circulation which will make his release even more exciting.


Spider-Man PS4 Gets Fantastic Four Skins as Teased

“Something Fantastic” has come to Spider-Man PS4. This has been teased by both Marvel Games and Insomniac Games earlier this month. Fans have speculated that it will either be the Bag-Man Suit where Spider-Man wears a Fantastic Four uniform and a grocery bag for a mask, or the black-and-white Future Foundation suit. Fans are actually right, and at the same time wrong as both the suits were made available in the game. The skins came along with the newest patch 1.14 and is already available now.


Assassin’s Creed May Be Heading to Switch

A Czech store called Herni-Svet listed a game for the Nintendo Switch with the title Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation Collection, and is slated for release on the handheld console on February 15th. This also follows a listing on German retailer Media Markt for an Assassin’s Creed Collection also for the Switch. In response to these listings, Ubisoft said they don’t comment on rumors or speculation.


Bethesda’s Fallout 76 Leather Jacket Gets Ridiculed

Bethesda recently unveiled their premium Fallout 76 leather jacket that has been priced at around $300. Instead of excitement, it has been actually met with ridicule. This was because of the previous screw up with the previous offer for a duffel bag. The announcement was mocked in Twitter with fans posting a reality versus expectation for the newly announced jacket. The jacket is said to be made out of “real premium lambskin leather”.


A Hat in Time’s Switch Version “Coming Soon”

It looks like A Hat In Time will have an actual Nintendo Switch release. This cute puzzle platformer is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Switch port availability had been a confusing one as Gears for Breakfast, the developers of the game previously released a Tweet saying that the game will not be releasing for the Nintendo Switch. That Tweet had been recently deleted and a new announcement is now up saying that a Switch release is coming soon.


Europa Universalis 4’s Mandate of Heaven Expansion Free for a Week

Players who own Europa Universalis 4 will be able to try its Mandate of Heaven expansion for a week. The free trial is available now and will run until February 4th. The Mandate of Heaven expansion lets players play as an East Asian power, and includes new mechanics for states like Ming China such as imperial decrees and reforms. Paradox said players will be able to play the expansion with existing campaigns, but this will only be available while the free trial lasts.


Resident Evil 2 Remake Three Times More Popular Than Resident Evil 7

Resident Evil 2 Remake is doing really well! The game now boasts that it’s three times more popular than Resident Evil 7. A post on Reddit shows Resident Evil 2 Remake has a current peak of 74, 227, while Resident Evil 7 had 20,449. Some of its success is probably thanks to the one-shot, one-time demo. On PC, though, Monster Hunter World is still more popular with a peak of more than 300,000 players at launch.

A new icy weapon is heading to Fortnite Battle Royale! The next weapon is the Chiller Grenade which was introduced in the game’s ‘message of the day’ screen. This weapon looks like a frag grenade with a ring-pull, but with winter aesthetic ad is fashioned after a deadly snowman’s head. The description of the item says, “give your enemies cold feet with this winter blast,” which could mean this will work like the chiller traps that were introduced last year.


Battlefield 5’s Second January Update Out Now

The second major January 2019 update for Battlefield 5 has been announced by Electronic Arts and DICE.
