Diablo 3 Seasons on Switch Won’t Require Switch Online

Diablo 3 players on the Switch won’t need a subscription to the Nintendo Switch Online service to play Seasons, the game’s seasonal mode where players get special rewards. Community manager Nevalists posted on the Battle.net forums that only online multiplayer will require the premium service. He further clarified that this is how it works on the other consoles and that it won’t be changing on the Switch. Diablo 3 Eternal Collection launches on November 2nd.


Elder Scrolls 6 Won’t Be Launching Anytime Soon

Bethesda wants fans to know that Elder Scrolls 6 is a long ways from releasing. In fact, it’s most likely not going to launch on current-gen consoles. Bethesda marketing head Pete Hines and Zenimax Online Studios game director Matt Firor clarified this while speaking to Gamespot at PAX Australia. The early announcement was more to ease the fan anxiety around Fallout 76’s release, to sort of assure fans that Bethesda is still working on single player games.


Fallout 76 Players Won’t Get a Dog Companion

Despite how popular Dogmeat was in Fallout 4, Bethesda is doing away with dog companions in Fallout 76. Bethesda marketing head Pete Hines made the announcement during a panel at PAX Australia, to which the audience booed loudly. Seeing how disappointed the crowd was, he then said that they’ll add the feature to the list of considerations for post-launch content, instantly turning the booing to cheering. Fallout 76 launches on November 14th for PC, Xbox One and PS4.


Yooka-Laylee Gets a Retro Look Through a 64-Bit Tonic

Playtonic Games is adding a 64-bit Tonic to their 3D platformer Yooka-Laylee to give the game a retro look. The tonic gives the game a 64-bit aesthetic, with a smaller polycount as well as lower resolutions. The trailer showed the game having jagged edges and television scan lines adding to the effect. The Tonic will be available in the coming weeks.


New Details for Dynasty Warriors 9 Co-op Revealed

Koei Tecmo has just released a new trailer for Dynasty Warriors 9 that reveals a new feature added in a major update. Players will now be able to play local split-screen co-op with a friend or online with other players worldwide. What’s more is that co-op play will be enabled even for those with just the trial version of the game. Koei Tecmo also revealed the planned content for the game’s second season pass, plus future free content such as online rankings, a growth system and more.


Rare Shares New Shrouded Spoils Details

Rare has released a new developer update which gives more details on Sea of Thieves’ Shrouded Spoils update. First, Festival of the Damned, which is currently undergoing tests, will be coming on October 31st. Cosmetics from Forsaken Shores will disappear once Festival of the Damned starts. Rare said they will be releasing another video which will discuss in detail all the content coming with Shrouded Spoils. The update is expected to launch sometime in November.


Full Schedule of Fallout 76 BETA Announced

Bethesda has announced the full beta schedule for Fallout 76 this week. The beta has been ongoing on Xbox One but players on PC and PS4 can finally join in on the fun this week. The beta servers will be open on October 31st from 12AM to 4AM, on November 1st from 7PM to 12AM, on November 3rd from 10PM to 2AM, and on November 4th from 7PM to 2AM. All times are for the UK. However, if you want to get into the beta, you’ll have to pre-order the game first if you haven’t yet.


Christie Revealed for Dead or Alive 6

During Paris Games Week, Dead or Alive 6 publisher in France, Koch Media France revealed Christie, who will be joining the game’s roster. Christie was introduced through a trailer that was exclusively shown at the company’s booth in the event. Reports say it will be uploaded soon in the game’s official channels. Christie will be joining other recently revealed characters Tina, Bass, and Mila. Dead or Alive 6 will be heading to PC and consoles on February 15th.


The Division 2 Will Be Playable at XO18

The Xbox Mexico Twitter account has slowly been announcing upcoming titles that will be playable at XO18. After confirming Crackdown 3 and Kingdom Hearts 3 will be playable, we now know that fans will also be able to sample Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 at the biggest Xbox event of the year. The Xbox brand has been featured prominently in all of the game’s marketing efforts so having a presence at X018 just makes sense. XO18 will be held in Mexico City, Mexico this November.


Call of Cthulhu Releases Launch Trailer

Cyanide Studios’ Call of Cthulhu is nearing its launch, and the company has released the game’s launch trailer ahead of launch day. The trailer shows one of the characters, Sarah Hawkins, as she runs for her life. A brief flashback of her is also shown then we see her lifeless body in the woods. We then see scenes of incantations and nightmarish scenarios which we can expect to experience in the game. Call of Cthulhu launches October 30th on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.


Ride 3’s Livery Editor, Season Pass, Free DLC, and More Revealed

Milestone has just released a new trailer for Ride 3 called Extreme Customisation. The video showcases the endless customization features packed in the Livery Editor that comes included in the game. There’s over five hundred mechanical and aesthetic parts available that you can use to tweak how your bike rides on the track. Plus, you can customize every aspect of how your bike looks to create the ride of your dreams. Ride 3 arrives on PC, Xbox One and PS4 on November 30th.

Red Dead Redemption 2’s Companion App May Have Hints on PC Release

Red Dead Redemption 2 is currently available on PS4 and the Xbox One, and just recently, its Companion App on iOS and Android has also been revealed. Although Rockstar said that the game won’t be available to PC, some fans were quick to mine the game’s Companion App and found several files that appear like it’s pointing to a possible PC and VR release. The files include words like “PC” and “Oculus” so these dataminers were quick to speculate that a PC release might be brewing.


The Evil Within 2 Gets New Difficulty

The Evil Within 2 got a surprise update which brings in a new difficulty mode as well as some cheat codes. Players who have a Bethesda.net account should link the game to their account to unlock the “AKUMU” difficulty option and get the cheat codes. The cheat codes enable things such as infinite stamina, invincibility, and one-hit kills. The update is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.


Bloodborne Players Run Halloween Event

The Bloodborne player community is in a festive mood as one player organized an unofficial Halloween event in the game. Dubbed “The Blood Moon,” this event focuses in co-op play. The rules, which are posted in the game’s subreddit, include creating a new character, playing co-op and invading at least 3 times before defeating the boss in each area, and always carrying the torch to demonstrate that they’re part of the hunt. The community-run event will last until November 1st.


Anthem’s Paris Games Week Livestream Showcased Gameplay

At the Paris Games Week, BioWare showcased their upcoming title Anthem and showed off some much awaited gameplay. The livestream featured the game’s first mission called The Lost Archanist, and as its title suggests, players were tasked to find a lost archanist. The livestream also provided details on the ultimate abilities for the Storm and Interceptor Javelins as well as a look at loot, the game’s search mechanic, and Javelin progression among others. Another livestream is scheduled this weekend.


2B for Nier Automata Will Be a Guest Character in SoulCalibur 6

A new character is heading to SoulCalibur 6, but nor permanently. NieR Automata’s 2B is joining the game’s roster as a guest character, and she comes armed with her dual blades Virtuous Contract & Virtuous Treaty. She also has her own stage and background music. Bandai Namco did not say when we can expect 2B to be added to the game, but what we know is that she will be included in the game’s Season Pass. You can get SoulCalibur 6 now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.


Battlefield 5 Pre-Order Bonuses Revealed

EA and DICE released a guide for players who wish to pre-order Battlefield 5. The guide provides details on the pre-order bonuses. All Battlefield 5 pre-orders will also include the Enlister offer which includes 6 Paratrooper Sets, Firestorm Ranger Set, in-game Special Assignments, and more. Deluxe Edition Pre-Orders include Early Access on November 15, Enlister items, 5 sets of Paratrooper Outfits, and more. Full details are available in EA’s website.


Next Wolfenstein Game Will Also Come to Switch

Wolfenstein: Youngblood has been confirmed for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and Bethesda also said that “the next Wolfenstein game” will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. A lot of fans were confused because Bethesda marketing executive Pete Hines mentioned this exact phrase at PAX Australia, however, apart from Youngblood, there’s another upcoming Wolfenstein game which is Wolfenstein III. We’d have to wait for official word on which of these two games will be heading to Nintendo’s handheld.


Devil May Cry 5 Receives Praises from Fans

Devil May Cry 5 is getting a lot of attention, and it comes as no surprise! Ahead of its release next Spring, Capcom has released a video which contains testimonials from different players. The testimonials primarily hails the game’s stylish look and feel, with some even saying they enjoy Nero’s new Devil Breaker mechanic, adding they like seeing the new depth to what he can do and also the flow of his combat. Devil May Cry 5 will be available on PS4 and Xbox One starting March 8, 2019.


Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown Aircraft Customization Showcased in New Trailer

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown released a new trailer which showcases aircraft customization. The game includes a wide array of options for players to customize their aircraft. Players get access to options such as swapping through different missile types, as well as a huge variety of arm and body styles. There are also skin emblems which players can unlock by completing some challenges in-game. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unkown will be available January 18th for PS4 and Xbox One, and February 1st for PC.


Rise: Race the Future PC Release Delayed

VD-dev’s racing game Rise: Race the Future will be launching a week later than its original schedule. The game was originally planned for release on October 26th, but the developers announced that it will be launching a week later on November 1st instead. The game’s creators did not specify a concrete reason for the delay, however, it looks like they’re working on improving the game’s dynamics. Rise: Race the Future will be exclusive to PC.


Fnatic and Invictus Gaming Advance to League of Legends Worlds 2018 Finals

The Finals for the League of Legends World Championship 2018 has finally been set after almost a month of competitions. Facing off in the Finals are Europe’s Fnatic and China’s Invictus Gaming. The League of Legends World Championship 2018 is set to take place on Saturday, November 3, 4PM EST. Invictus Gaming faced off with G2 Esports last weekend in the semi-finals, while Fnatic battled it out with Cloud9.
