Puzzle Quest: The Legend Returns Launches on September

The Puzzle Quest: The Legend Returns offers a unique match 3 puzzle game that is immersed in strategy and role-playing coming to the Nintendo Switch. There will be many locations to explore, spells to cast, items to collect, experience to gain and so much more. Choose your character from the five different classes that are the Blood Mage, Priest, Monk, Paladin, and Elementalist. Puzzle Quest: The Legend Returns is now available for pre-purchase on the Nintendo eShop and will be launching on September 5.

Play as Jonathan E. Reid in Vampyr on the Switch This October

By October, Nintendo Switch players will be able to play as Jonathan E. Reid, a newly transformed vampire who is a high ranking military surgeon in the game Vampyr. The game is set in the 20th century London. There will be missions that you can accept, but you shouldn’t forget to feed. You must choose your victims as they will be disappearing forever and their disappearance may alert the authorities. Vampyr is already available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The Switch version will launch on October 29th.

Tribes of Midgard Open Beta is Now Available

The Tribes of Midgard a co-op survival role-playing game has its open beta running right now which will be ending on September 9th at 11:59 PM EST. The game is from Norsfell where 10 players will fight giants during Ragnarok. The new features that will be available in the open beta are for the quality of life improvements in the Tribes of Midgard which includes the skill trees permanent abilities and class specialization, difficulty settings equipment, and foes.

Wuppo Definitive Edition Now Available for PC Via Steam

Wuppo Definitive Edition is now available for PC on Steam. Those who already own the game will automatically be upgraded to the definitive edition via an update for free. The Definitive Edition will come with a new co-op mode, audiovisual improvements, some new quests and so much more. This edition also comes with the previously released DLC of the game.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint’s Closed Beta Underway

Eligible players can now take part in Ghost Recon Breakpoint’s closed beta. The closed beta is available for those who pre-ordered the game, and for those who have a Uplay+ subscription. The closed beta will run from now until September 9th. The game is still currently in the works so Ubisoft warns players will experience issues. Ghost Recon Breakpoint is scheduled to launch on October 4th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

New Game Plus Mode Arriving in Days Gone Next Week

Days Gone is finally getting its new Game Plus mode next week! The new mode will be arriving as part of the game’s huge update which will roll out on September 13th. Players will be able to access new game plus from any save that has the completed “I’m never giving up” storyline. Players will be able to play the game again with all previously earned weapons, bike upgrades, skills, recipes, and more already unlocked. The update itself will also include new trophies for new game plus as well as a mysterious new weapon.

Call of Cthulhu Launches October 8th on Switch

Call of Cthulhu will be available on the Nintendo Switch soon. The game will be launching on Switch on October 8th, and according to publisher Focus Home Interactive, the Nintendo Switch version will be the complete experience. Call of Cthulu will have players take on the role of private investigator Edward Pierce as he attempts to determine whether what he’s experiencing is real, or just an illusion.

Farming Simulator 20 Announced for Switch

Giants software announced that Farming Simulator 20 will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. The game will be available on December 3rd. The announcement was done through the recently held Nintendo Direct where Focus Home Interactive showed some new screenshots of the game as well as its horse riding mechanics. The Switch version also include John Deere equipment, along with some gameplay additions such as a new environment and livestock.

ABZU and The End is Nigh are This Week’s Free Games on Epic

Two new games are up for grabs, absolutely free, on the Epic Games Store! This week, you can get ABZU and the End is Nigh for free. You simply need to log on to your Epic Games Store account then download these games to your library. Abzu is an underwater adventure game where players will explore a lost undersea world. The End is Nigh looks like Super Meat Boy at a glance, but this game packs a lot of challenging 2D platforming gameplay across over 600 single-screen rooms.

Celeste’s Free Very Hard Update Out Next Week

Celeste’s much awaited free update finally has a release date. The DLC, called chapter 9: Farewell, will be launching on September 9th on all platforms. Chapter 9 was first announed in December last year, and the game’s creator Matt Thorson promised it will bring ‘Very Hard’ new levels to the game. It will include over 100 new levels plus a selection of new mechanics.

Endless Space 2 Gets Awakening Expansion

Endless Space 2’s Awakening Expansion will arrive on September 12th. Awakening introduces the new Nakalim Faction, as well as four new Nakalim heros. In addition, the expansion will also give players access to the faction’s fleets which are heavily defended and are mainly used for exploration. This expansion also introduces a minor faction called Xirmisala which are described as ‘Dust-sensitive philosophers”.

Red Dead Online: Frontier Pursuits to Add New Specialists

The first three specialists for Red Dead Online: Frontier Pursuits has been introduced in a new trailer. This new update called the Outlaw Pass comes with Specialist Roles which are a Bounty Hunter, Trader or Collector. As a Bounty Hunter, you will be bringing criminals to justice. As a Trader, you will be joining Cripps and will turn your camp into a successful business. As a Collector, you will be searching for treasure across the different states. The Outlaw Pass will run through November 18.

Shenmue 3 PlayStation 4 Collectors Edition Revealed

Shenmue 3 is launching in a couple of months and it’s PlayStation 4 Collector’s Edition has been announced. The Collector’s Edition has a Dreamcast theme since Dreamcast’s 20th anniversary is approaching. There will be a double-sided mirror, a desk lamp, iron-on patches, stickers, a PS4 copy of the game, a foil-stamped box and a slipcover to hold it. Pre-orders for this edition will be available starting September 9. There will only be 5000 copies available and it will cost you $100 USD.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Will Have Crossplay

A Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Road to Launch had been revealed! This shares the events that will happen leading up to the game’s launch. We get to see some open betas which will happen on September as well as some Campaign and Special Ops premiers. One very curious event found on the list is the crossplay details. Usually, EA Access releases new games five days before its official launch, so having players play NHL 20 this early is new.

Darksiders Genesis Reveals New Character War

Darksiders Genesis has a new trailer out for their upcoming playable character named ‘War’. THQ Nordic’s overview of the character reads as “War, the Rider of the Red Horse, is both honorable and savage”. He is the youngest of the Four Horsemen and is equipped with the Chaoseater and the Impervious armor. Also, always seen by his side is his phantom steed called Ruin. Darksiders Genesis is set to launch later this year for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Stadia.

Green Hell Launches as a Full Game out of Early Access

The survival game called Green Hell is now out of early access and has launched as a full game. The game will bring you to a nightmarish version of the Amazon that is full of violent savages out to get you. With the launch of the game out of early access, it came with a new story mode, the addition of huge new map areas, new plants as well as frogs. Kojima’s personal assistant, Ayako Terashima has confirmed this saying that the “Normal” and “Hard” mode will be enough to satisfy hardcore players and beginners who wants to play the game can enjoy the “very easy” mode. Death Stranding is set to launch on November 8th.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered will be Available on the Switch

Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered will also be launching for the Nintendo Switch as well. A new video trailer has been shared so that fans can see what the game will look like on the portable console. The game will be participated by the original actors of the movie: Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis Ernie Hudson and Annie Potts. Return of the Obra Dinn Will Launch on Consoles This Fall

Creator Lucas Pope, the developer of Papers, Please has announced that his stylistic mystery game the Return of the Obra Dinn will also be arriving to consoles PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The game is set in the early 1800s and follows the story of an insurance investigator to solve the mystery od a ship that mysteriously showed up in the harbor one-morning having grim corpses. Return of the Obra Dinn is set to launch for consoles by the fall of this year, it is already available on PC.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Introduces New Faction

Another faction has been revealed for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. The faction is called Camarilla which is led by Prince Cross who is a mogul type who is interested in capitalists and politicians. One of the skills of the prince is the forging of key alliances. He is a ruler that “prefers negotiation and careful strategy over brute force and violence.” Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is set to launch in March 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
