League of Legends Now Gets Premium Esports Pass Similar to Overwatch League
League of Legends has now employed League-style premium eSports pass reminiscent to that of Overwatch. As of the upcoming Summer Split of the League Championship Series and European Championship, fans will watch league entirely different. There will be a way to watch matches from the professional league players’ points of view. Viewers will be able to see everything they do, even mouse clicks and keystrokes. In addition, fans can watch up to four streams at once including the main feed.
Fortnite’s Slippery Weapon Skin to get Price Cut
Epic recently published a tweet admitting that it had overpriced Fortnite’s Slippery weapon skin. Previously, cosmetic Wraps were valued at 500 V-bucks if the skins had special effects and 300 V-bucks if they did not. Based on that precedence, The Slippery Weapon skin didn’t meet the 500 v-bucks criteria and is consequently the catalyst of outrage for many players. Now Epic has lowered the price to 300 and is refunding the difference to players who had already purchased the skin at 500.
Destiny 2’s New Raid will Limit Player Power Levels on First Day to Enhance Competition
Destiny 2’s Season of Opulence raid launches on the same day the new season begins. With it, comes a new difficulty mode is called Contest. Said mode will be mandatory for players who intend to indulge in the Crown of Sorrow raid on the first day. Interestingly, mechanics go unperturbed in Contest but the mode caps your gear’s power level at 700. However, it is recommended that your gears have at least a power level of 715. Bullet Hell MMO Steambirds Free Open Beta Live Now
Spry Fox LLC has officially queued a free open beta for its massively-cooperative shooter, Steambirds Alliance. The developer is inviting you to come and fly with dozens of your feathered friends in an open world teeming with cruel cat bosses and endless waves of deadly bullets. The free beta is accessible through the Steam store where players may also find an in-depth definition of the game. Player feedback is encouraged and also doable using Steam.
Conan Unconquered System Requirements Announced
Petroglyph has announced that survival real-time strategy game Conan Unconquered will now launch on May 29th instead of May 30th. They’ve also announced the system requirements of the game. A 64-bit version of Windows 7 or later, 10 GB of storage, and 8 GB of RAM are required. Battle.net Now Shows Destiny 2 as a Purely Bungie Endeavor
The latest Battle.net launcher update has removed any credit towards Activision for Destiny 2. The tab once named “Activision” where the Destiny 2 page was placed now says “Partner Games”. Could that mean that other non-Activision or non-Blizzard games will be added to the launcher in the future? Probably not, although Destiny 3 will most likely make it there whenever it comes out. The page also now lists Bungie as both developer and publisher for the game. Bungie and Activision parted ways on Destiny back in January.
Blizzard to Nerf Reckless Experimenter due to SN1P-SN4P Endless Damage Combo
After discovering an early game infinite damage combo involving the upcoming neutral legendary SN1P-SN4P and the Priest card Reckless Experimenter, Blizzard has decided to nerf the latter. Now, Reckless Experimenter’s cost reduction effect on Deathrattle minions cannot bring mana costs to less than 1. Some players aren’t so happy with the decision though. Hearthstone pro Dawid “Zetalot” Skalski took to Twitter to express his frustration over the fact that Reckless Experimenter was “getting nerfed over a card that’s not even released yet”.
Canceled Sequel Details for Conker’s Bad Fur Day Revealed by Designer
Even though Conker’s Bad Fur Day wrapped itself up quite neatly by the time the credits started rolling in, Rare still had a sequel planned for the comedic platformer. The sequel was cancelled though when Microsoft acquired its developer back in 2002. Seventeen years later, developer Chris Seaver has taken to Twitter to share some of the designs and plans they had for the sequel. Its story would have been deeper, with the main storyline focusing on Berri, Conker’s lost girlfriend, with three subplots exploring other characters.
Overwatch League Commissioner Jumping to Fortnite Esports
Overwatch League Nate Nanzer has vacated his post to work on Fortnite Esports for Epic Games. Nanzer shared a four-tweet long message of appreciation to the community that served as the announcement of his departure as well. In it, he said that he gets “way too much credit” for the success of the league and wants to remind the community that it’s always about them. On the flip side, Nanzer is stepping on to a bigger stage as the Fortnite World Cup is definitely the biggest in the world of Esports, sporting a 100 million dollar prize pool.
Heavy Rain Demo Now Available Ahead of PC Release
Quantic Dream has issued a free 45-minute demo of Heavy Rain and it is available in the Epic Games Store. Now you can have an early jab at the hunt for The Origami Killer. the demo lets you play through two chapters in the game’s first act. In the demo, You will play as FBI profiler Norman Jayden and Scott Shelby who is a private investigator. It is also worth noting that the demo will run in 4K and at 60fps like the full game. Heavy Rain is scheduled for release on the 24th of June, 2019.
Dying Light 2 May Support for Ray-Tracing and DLSS at Launch
Techland CTO, Pawel Rohleder recently did an interview in which he spoke about some possibilities for the upcoming Open-World RPG, Dying Light 2. He spoke about the Chrome Engine, potential mod support and DirectX12 implementation. He also added that there is a possibility that the game will be launching with real-time ray-tracing support. According to teamRohleder, the team is researching ray-tracing but it might not be included in the final game because of performance constraints.
E3 2019 Date And List Of Attendees
One of the biggest gaming events is just around the corner. E3 2019 is less than three weeks away and we are excited! This year’s E3 will be on June 11th up until the 13th and it will be held in the Los Angeles Convention Center. We, of course, will get to see a lot of the biggest names in the gaming industry including Microsoft, Bethesda, Ubisoft, Square Enix, Nintendo and so much more! Some did opt out of the event though like Sony and Devolver Digital. EA will still be there but without a press conference.
E3 2019 Dates And Times
We have for the important dates that you would need to mark your calendars with for the upcoming E3 2019! If you’re ready, here you go! Microsoft is on June 9th Sunday at 9 PM BST or 10 PM CEST, Bethesda will be on June 10th Monday at 1:30 AM BST or 2:30 CEST, the PC Gaming Show is also on Monday at 6 PM BST or 7 PM CEST. Square Enix will be on June 11th a Tuesday at 2 AM BST or 3 AM CEST and Nintendo will also be on Tuesday at 5 PM BST or 6 PM CEST. Sony Will Not Be at E3 2019
This may have come as a shock to many, but Sony has announced that they will be opting out of the prestigious gaming event E3 this year. All of you who are waiting for more PlayStation 5 news, unfortunately, won’t get it via E3 2019. Its a bit sad that they won’t be attending as they are one of the biggest presence in the event. But they are assuring their fans that they have other ways of engaging their community like Destination PlayStation or PAX East and other gaming events.
Microsoft to Go Big at E3 2019
Microsoft promises to go big this E3 2019 confirming that their press conference will be reaching about two hours long! This will be the longest press conference that the company will have for the event. The games that we might see in this year’s E3 for Xbox are Gears 5, Battletoads, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Sea of Solitude, Tunic and Halo Infinite. There is also a rumor going around that Microsoft will be talking about their next two consoles which are Xbox Anaconda and Lockhart.
EA Present at E3 2019, but Opted Out of the Press Conference
Electronic Arts will be at E3 2019 but are not planning on doing any press conferences this time around. Even though that is the case, we still won’t be disappointed as there will be a series of live streams available for gameplay reveals and developer talks as well as their EA Play event. They also plan to outline the upcoming plans for Anthem, Battlefield 5 and Apex Legends. There could also possibly be news about Madden NFL 20, FIFA 20 as well as Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order.
Activision Won’t Have a Major Presence in E3 2019
Activision will not have a booth at E3 2019 this year but they will still be there for meetings as well as to talk to the press. Usually, Activision relies on the stages of both Sony or Microsoft for their games to be introduced. However, Sony won’t be present in the event this year and the only game that they do have up their sleeve is the new Call of Duty game. This actually isn’t the first time that the publisher skipped an E3 event, as they have already done it twice before.
Bethesda to Talk About Doom Eternal in E3 2019
It is Bethesda Softwork’s fifth time in E3 and they mentioned that they will be giving an in-depth look at Doom Eternal which is the follow up of Doom 2016. It may also be possible that we could get to see some post-launch updates for Rage 2 which had just recently released or perhaps some news about attempting a turn around for Fallout 76 or updates about games that were previously announced like Wolfenstein: Youngblood, Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6.
Square Enix to Have “Exciting Line Up” at E3 2019
Square Enix will be giving a live presentation at E3 2019 and mentioned that they will be having an “exciting lineup of titles”. However, what we know so far is that they are currently working on the Nintendo Switch version of Dragon Quest and that they have an Avengers game on the works with Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal. The Final Fantasy Remake could also be shown in the event as well as the mysterious Babylon’s Fall. I guess we will get to know what Square Enix has in store for us at E3.
Ubisoft Rumored To Reveal Watch Dogs 3 at E3 2019
There is little that we know about what Ubisoft will be talking about in E3 2019. But the speculations that are spreading is that there won’t be any type of Assassin’s Creed announcement, a possible new Watch Dogs game is on the works, a possible return of Splinter Cell, details about the open-world pirate game Skull and Bones, and Beyond Good and Evil 2. We have yet to know anything, but one thing that was announced is that four triple-A games are scheduled for 2019- 2020.
Nintendo at E3 2019 Will Come With a Pre-Recorded Presentation, Several Tournaments, and Livestreams
This E3 2019, Nintendo will still have a pre-recorded Nintendo Direct presentation that will feature the games that are coming this year. They will also have their annual Treehouse livestream that will be about the game’s that are revealed at the presentation as well as several tournaments. No details are available about Nintendo’s presentation but most likely there will be Pokemon Sword and Shield, Animal Crossing Switch, Super Mario Maker 2 and Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
The PC Gaming Show E3 2019 to Present Several Developers
The PC Gaming Show at E3 2019 will be presenting 20 different developers as well as new trailers and make announcements. This will be hosted by Sean “Day 9” Plott and Frankie Ward. Their current list of attendees are Annapurna Interactive, Chucklefish, Digital Extremes, Digital Uppercut, Fatshark, Fellow Traveller, Modus Games, Raw Fury, and Re-Logic. The PC Gaming Show is also able to partner up with the Epic Games Store and will be revealing brand new material for several games.
