Imperator: Rome Release Date Revealed

Paradox has announced the release date for its upcoming grand strategy game Imperator: Rome. The game will be available starting April 25, 2019 on PC. The game lets payers explore alternate histories where Rome has not dominated Italy yet. Imparator: Rome features unique government mechanics, hundreds of towns in the map, population management, a flexible trade system, and many more.


For Honor Limited-Time Trial Gives Access to All Wu Lin Heroes

For Honorā€™s Marching Fire expansion released back in October 2018, and itā€™s the biggest update for the game since launch. The update was available for players who purchased the expansion itself, or who unlocked it in-game using Steel. Now Ubisoft has announced that the expansion has a limited-time free trial from now until February 12th. The Marching Fire trial gives players access to all four Wu Lin heroes, as long as you own a copy of For Honor. The expansion is also available at 50% off during the trial period.


Frostpunk Gets Photo Mode

The city building game Frostpunk finally has a photo mode! This new feature comes with the gameā€™s 1.3.3 patch. Photo Mode allows players to capture their stunning cities and also share them with friends. It includes features such as graphics effects and filters which can transform their photos into visually beautiful postcards. Other additions from the patch includes new languages (Japanese, Korean, and Italian), the new Large Resource Depot, redesigned resource depots, and lots of fixes and improvements.


Assassinā€™s Creed 3 Remastered to Launch in March

Ubisoft has announced that they are giving Assassinā€™s Creed 3 a fresh look through a remastered edition. Assassinā€™s Creed 3 Remastered will be launching on March 29th and will be available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Thereā€™s no word whether the game will be heading to the Nintendo Switch as well. The remastered version offers 4K and HDR support, as well as some tweaks and improvements on its gameplay. It will include the base game plus all of its post-launch content.


Trials Rising Post-Release Content and Expansion Revealed

Trials Risingā€™s post-release content have been revealed. This will include the Trials Rising Expansion Pass plus free events and seasons. The Expansion Pass contains extra locations in the United States and in the Southern Hemisphere, plus 55 new tracks. The game itself will have four Seasons which provides access to new poses customization items, seasonal-themed events, and more. There are also plans for Weekly Challenges. Trials Rising is set to launch on February 26th for PC, Switch, PS4, and Xbox One.


Crackdown 3ā€™s Tech Test Lets You Try Multiplayer

Crackdown 3 will be launching on February 15th for Xbox Game Pass holders on Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs, but before that, a technical test is slated to take place where players will be able to test out the gameā€™s multiplayer Wrecking Zone. The Technical Test begins on February 7th and is exclusive to Xbox Insiders. During the Technical Test, Xbox Insiders will play the Agent Hunter game mode on the Blackout Zone map. Other playtests through the weekend will be announced on the Xbox Insider hub, on Discord, and on the gameā€™s Facebook and Twitter.


Anthemā€™s Endgame Content Teased in New Video

BioWare released a new video in its ā€œThis is Anthemā€ series, a few weeks before the game officially launches. The new video talks about Anthemā€™s endgame, showcasing what players will expect once they finish the main story campaign. For those who want to keep testing their Javelinā€™s power level, there are activities players can engage with such as challenges, contracts, and strongholds. Difficulty can also be bumped up to six times. The Grand Master difficulty will also be unlocked for players who hit max level.


Original Crackdown Game Free on Xbox One

Microsoft has announced a promotion in preparation for the release of is upcoming game Crackdown 3. The Original Crackdown, which launched back in 2007 is currently free on Xbox One as a backwards-compatible title. The backwards-compatible version has been optimized for the Xbox One, allowing players to select graphics enhancements up to 4K resolutions. Crackdown 3 is set to launch February 15th.


Two Point Hospital Adds Team Workshop Support

A new free update is available now on Two Point Hospital, and this adds Steam Workshop support to the Theme Hospital spiritual successor. The Interior Design updae, as itā€™s called, adds custom carpets, pictures, and wallpaper to the game. Players can customize these using photos from their PCs, or those imported on the Steam Workshop. Two Point Hospital is a humorous hospital simulator that lets players build a hospital from the ground up.


Fear the Wolves is Out Now and Free to Play ā€™til February 12th

Fear the Wolves is out of Steam Early Access, and now players can play the game for free for a limited time! From now until February 12th, you can head on to Steam to give the game a try. And should you wish to purchase it within the free trial period, you can score a copy of the game for 50% off the regular price! Fear the Wolvesā€™ 1.0 update, on the other hand, includes new additions such as Artifacts, as well as the Wolf Matriarch and Anomalous Lockdowns.


Astroneer Officially Launches After Two Years in Early Access

Space survival sandbox Astroneer has finally officially launched after spending two years in Steam Early Access. The game is focused in co-op, but solo players can also play solo if they want. The game features inter-planetary travel, resource management, crafting, terraforming, and base building. Post-launch, its developer, System Era Softworks, plans to include cross-play support for Xbox One. Its four-player co-op mode is also planned to be increased to 8 players in the future.


Ubisoft Says Players Will Need to Restart The Division 2 Beta Every Few Hours

Ubisoft has advised players who are playing the beta for The Division 2 to restart it in two to three hour increments to lessen the chance of crashing. This is indeed unfortunate, but this is the unfinished version of the game so it is understandable that it will not be free from flaws. The Division 2ā€™s private beta will span from February 7th until the 10th, and is available to anyone who previously signed up for entry or pre-ordered it. The game will be released on March 15, 2019 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.


Devil May Cry 5 Demo Now Available on Consoles

Capcom has released a Devil May Cry 5 demo on February 7th as promised. The demo is available to download now on PS4 and Xbox One. The developer promises 30,000 Red Orbs in the full game as a reward for players who download and play the demo. The demo features ā€œthe addition of the Punchline Devil Breaker and allows usage of the Customize option.ā€ Devil May Cry 5 is due out on March 8, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.


Apex Legends Partners With Twitch for 200,000-Dollar Competitive Event

Respawn Entertainment and Twitch are teaming up for a two-part Apex Legends competition. The competition will see some of the most popular streamers compete for a $200,000 prize pool. There will be 16 three-player squads competing in each event. Said squads will comprise of streamers from North America and EMEA representing their respective territories. The competition is set for the February 12 and February 19. Get ready to cheer for your favorite streamers, team and or region.


The Sims 4 Celebrates Lunar New Year With New Items

The Sims Studio has added new items to The Sims 4 in celebration of the Lunar New Year. The update includes new festive outfits for all ages, new decorative items, a cute toy panda for toddlers, red envelopes filled with Simoleons, and a pig statue with a heart-warming smile. Be reminded that some of the celebratory items are level locked so they wonā€™t be accessible to everyone who is not at a certain level. The items are free additions to the base game so just login and wait for the update to complete to access them.


Romans: Age of Caesar Announced

An all new trailer for Romans: Age of Caesar has been released. The trailer featured a narrated introduction to the story of the empire post Julius Ceasar. The narrator did justice in setting the mood and tone of the era. Firefly Studiosā€™ co-operative, strategy MMO game allows you and your friends to rebuild Rome together. Romans: Age of Caesar is currently in closed alpha with players who were able to pre-register on the gameā€™s official website. The game is set to be released on PC and mobile in 2019.


The Crew 2ā€™s February Vehicle Drop Announced

The Crew 2 has received a new trailer that reveals two new cars to be added to Ubisoftā€™s racing game. The new cars are the Audi RS5 Coupe 2018 and the Porsche 911 GT3 RS RD Limited Edition 2016. These vehicles are accessible to Season Pass holders for free as a part of their monthly vehicle drops. After the Season Pass holders have had the cars for week, the vehicles are made available to purchase for all players. The Crew 2 is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.


Final Fantasy 14 Shadowbringers Release Date Revealed

Final Fantasy 14: Shadowbringers has received a release date and is now available for Pre-Order. If you pre-order either edition of Shadowbringers you will be eligible to receive exclusive in-game items. These items will be issued on March 1, 2019. Pre-ordering the game also grants you early access to Shadowbringers ahead of the official release. Early Access is scheduled to commence on June 28, 2019. Final Fantasy 14: Shadowbringers will officially release for PS4 and PC on July 2, 2019.


Sea of Thieves Nerfs Weapons

Sea of Thieves recently has seen nerfs to double guns and snipers in an effort to rebalance the gameā€™s combat system. Now all weapons have new wield animations which adds a small delay before they can actually fire. Sniper rifles now do 10 less damage and are much less accurate when they are being shot from the hip. Indie FPS Russia 2055 Showcases Gameplay in Latest Videos

Invictus Volition released a stream of gameplay videos of their action FPS game Russia 2055. If the gameplay is every bit as astonishing as the game looks, Russia 2055 is undoubtedly destined for greatness. The videos consist of some real-time cut-scenes from the single-player campaign, combat animations and brandishes some stunning camera effects. A date at which players can expect the game is yet to be announced, but there is no question that the videos have done their duty in getting players excited.


Green Hell Gets Early Access Update

Green Hell has received a new Early Access update that adds new challenges, armor crafting system, and enemies. The update was announced alongside a trailer that showcased new character customization features, craftable weapons and footage of their mechanics and effects when being used. The trailer also showed the implementation of traps which when triggered can prove lethal to enemies. The update also came with tons of bug fixes and balance changes. Green Hell is available through steam for PC.


Age of Wonders: Planetfall Showcases Amazon Faction

Triumph Studios recently dropped a brand new gameplay video showcasing the Amazon faction in their turn-based strategy game Age of Wonders: Planetfall. The video gives a detailed tour of the game as well as some back story which allows players to become more emotionally invested. The game features exciting tactical-turn based combat and in-depth 4X empire building in an all-new sci-fi setting. Age of Wonders: Planetfall will be releasing on PC and console later this year.
